It's Bertos turn to pass the Margarito test. Margarito needs a few big wins to earn his respect back.

 

It's unclear how substances being in something potentially dangerous and something naturally harmless should vindicate anyone. This is true of all elements. You can find Hydrogen, Helium, and on and on, in dangerous things and in harmless things. It doesn't make them any more dangerous in the dangerous places or harmless in the harmless places.

 

That was in 2003. Steroids wont make you a better boxer, plastic gloves will make you a better boxer no matter who you are. So while Mosley might not be as great as we thought he was because of the steroid use, his most recent wins were without steroids. We can see that he still has power and still can box even if hes not as fast or as dominant as he was in 2003.

Now look at Margarito, his best wins were all by knock out and he just happened to have plastic gloves. So his wins over Cintron, his win over Cotto, all meaningless because he didn't win over 12 rounds. And it makes Williams look even better because he could take those punches.

 

The situation was handled poorly. More information should have given to the FANS, to the public on what exactly was going on with his wraps. But it wasn't. I was a fan of Margarito and I don't hate the man, there's just not enough info. Of course, some fans of a particular fighter rejoiced with the whole handwraps incident, they didn't give it a second thought. Not saying everyone that hates Marg belongs in that category but the happier, louder ones seem to.

If things occur naturally, assuming they are there for nefarious reasons is way out of line, and all the CSAC did was hold a ****ing kangaroo court. Tony's suspension would not have passed muster in a criminal court.
