I will say this, he busted Cotto's face up pretty good in the 2nd fight with legal wraps and gloves. if his eye wasn't broken, he may have stopped Cotto again late, as he was coming on and still pressuring him and landing those uppercuts.

 

Margarito is factually the one who got saved, how many rounds previously did they allow him to fight like that?? So why did they stop it in that round, it's because Cotto was backing up to load shots on Margarito and they were having their effect, you could see his shoulders slumping with every Cotto connect just like the Shane fight before resulting in KO.

They knew Margarito had nothing left and decided to stop it before he could sue about his eye. They were right then, and are right to this day, even though Margarito was told he could continue his career, he chose not to. He knows he's milked his post plaster career for all it was worth, and it was nothing but m***ive beatings from the likes of anybody who's anybody from there, none of this is rocket science, Margarito is a nobody without plaster.

That's not saying much. Cotto's face skin is paper thin, just look at him after any of his previous fights.

Cotto said Margo's power was not as brutal as it was in the first fight. Of course he can just be saying this as he always believed margo cheated though. I think margo cheated, not because of cotto but because of the before and after the hand wrap issue. Its like he was shot over night.

 

All this with just vision in one eye.

 

The only vision loss Margo had is the vision Cotto knocked out of him because he came in the ring having p***ed a vision test. I hope that the only thing you referring to and you're not one of those "if fighter "a" hadn't have punched fighter "b" fighter "a" would've won" guys...
