Should he be looked at in the same light PBF was? ... he's looking to cash in fighting DLH and not Williams (who he didn't mention in the interview Sat. or Clottey who he says doesn't make much sense financially)

This is starting to look like that Video that was post about Margarito confonting PBF ... and PBF saying, maybe you can learn from this so that you too can make smart business decisions.

As much as he criticizes this man for not fighting him ... he's following in his footsteps ... or atleast he's attempting.

Now stfu and get back under the sheets, Ellerbe.

    Which one is it?

If you watched the Judah v Clottey fight you seen the interview with Margarito right ... now what was so different in him talking about future opponents than Mayweather ... he has two guys willing to fight him, yet he's talking money now.

I see no comparison. Margarito's biggest payday thus far has been 1.6M. The guy deserves to get paid.

Margarito was willing to fight Cotto, Williams, and Clottey. I doubt very much Mayweather would or will step up to those plates.

I have no problem with what Margo is doing. It may be a bit hypocritical, but it's normal. The way boxing is setup, fighters will have a tendency to get more picky once they get some clout. Margo is 30 years old. His stlye does not lend itself to longevity in this sport. He needs to cash out while he can. Hoya and Mosley should be plan A and B for his next fight. Judah should be plan C. After that, he can go for a rematch with Cotto.

It's different because Mayweather was HBO's darling and with $4 million guarantees for sparring matches with guys like Bruseles, Gatti, and Sharmba Mitchell. Floyd was probably 20x as rich as Margo before stepping foot in the ring against ODLH.

So if Margo was getting $4 million paydays, you think he would turn down a fight with Hoya if he felt he could make $20 + million?

    Who's fault is that?

and what does that have to do with Margarito chasing the money after 1 marquee win? ... there are some fighters that have paid their dues and earned their way to big money fights and i'm sure it took more than 1 fight.

    Isn't that hypocritical?

Margarito did not have a choice. thats what the diffirence is. Dont think he fought them because he wanted to. If he could have gotten Oscar back then he would have fought him instead. He feels he has leverage now. So he is trying to use it. Back then he had zero leverage. And really he still has little now.

Margarito is going for the money, hoping that someone else will take care of Paul for him. No problem. He's looking for the money. But if Paul is offering $4M, how can he justify not taking this fight???

How much of a payday does he need? It's not like he's been boxing for free! And DeLa is NOT FIGHTING HIM... He should worry about the fighters who want to fight him instead of trying to call out fighters who aren't interested...

He fought Williams Cotto and Santos AND Clottey. Just because he wants to fight DLH and beat the **** out of him once and for all does not make him a money hungry *****. If DLH doesn't materialize he won't retire, hell just call DLH a big ***** and go on to attempting to clean out 147lbs :good Its funny how people try to turn **** around on Margarito now.
