You strike me as a 'fan' who oozes man love for one fighter (in your case probably pbf), and hates on all other fighters. Sumbitch.

    I could be wrong though.

Did he have to fight him genius ?? Did he ?? No ! Clearly your the fool he could of dropped the strap and waited for Cotto !

And when has Floyd pulled a stunt like that ?? Wow get your head out of Floyd's ass for one second and tell me where Gatti and and Shmabe Mitchell fit into the elite of boxing by the time Floyd got to them ?? Lets see who's the hypocrite now ???

Thinking about it :think..... you won't find me ever hating on any fighter. I respect them all, of course I have my favourites - Joe, Margorito, Kelly, Kessler, Glencoffe, Linares, Floyd, Pac.

I have the feeling though - that you hate on all but one.

Isn't it quite normal for a fighter coming off a loss to have a pretty easy fight first time out to rebuild confidence? Margorito's last 4 opponents... Williams - Johnson - Cintron - Cotto. Hardly shabby :blood

I agree the Gomez fight was sumbull**** though.

Yeah, Oscar makes more money with Manny...and Margo doesn't have a leg to stand on as far as bitching goes. With the way Antonio is overlooking his own recent loss to Paul Williams, pressure will be minimal on DLH to fight Margo.

DLH has too much power, he cant be pressured into a fight. And he'll make make more moneyy against Manny, but he'll make alot against Margo still.

Cherry picking or not it still earned him the #1 spot at Welterweight and officially, he wasn't cherry picking when he moved from 140(after not being able to get the big boys in that division to sign for a fight) to 147 seeking Zab Judah who was highly regarded at the time and considered the man to beat or even scare the hell out of Floyd, the same way the hype automatically switched from Zab to Margarito as he lost to Baldomir. It's not Floyd's problem Zab lost.

DLH will make a lot regardless of who he fights, right now he wants the megafights and Manny can help produce a mega event and fight, Margarito can't.

Yep. Thats the biggest fight that can be made since PBF retired. But I dont think DLH vs Manny does numbers like DLH vs PBF. PBF had way too much to do with making that fight what it was.

Definitely and Pac moving up from 135 all the way to 147 won't help attract many either. Will be surprised if any fight out there breaks the numbers for PBF/DLH. :smoke

Agreed. PBF just does way too much and no one can promote a fight like he does.

I can't blame fighters for going after the big paydays. It's what people do at work, and most jobs are easier and safer than boxing. And provide better 401k plans (1 cent is better than boxing's 401k plan).

But it does suck for the fans when we don't get the matchups we want.

Personally, the 2 biggest paydays of Mayweather's career (DLH, Hatton), were fights I wanted to see.
