He's had his 15 secs of fame but now its time to dump this clown ... he's nothing but a product of media hype ... Arum and toprank have him gased up ...

He hasn't beat anyone credible, but Miguel Cotto and to be honest the jury is still out on him ...

Wins over no named title contenders doesn't make you the champion of the division, neither does one win over a marquee opponent ...

He will never be in a class of the elite and he will never be able to out due his most recent victory over Miguel Cotto.

He has losses that aren't avenged against fighters who are still active (Santos & Williams) he has yet to avenge any of his losses or make the attempt to call out the guys who beat him. He's a puppet of Arum and TopRank ... I've never seen a legitimized champion w/ 5 L's on his resume.

Margo has become a joke lately. There's no need for a Mosley fight he's shot he went life and death with a equally shot Mayorga. And don't even get me started on the Cotto rematch. Cotto quit against him there's no need for a rematch, it's a farce. What he needs to be doing is avenging his losses to Williams or Santos or a close fight with Clottey in which he was losing until Clottey hurt his hand. Clottey deserves a rematch more than Cotto does.:deal.

hahaha i never said he wasnt

but theres certain fighters who are like gate keepers to popularity

mosley zab and oscar are good examples..

once you beat them you garner some popularity from outside the boxing community

I still would not call the man a gate keeper, for right now he is at the top of the welter weight food chain.

Other than Cotto who has he beat that made some noise in the welterweight division?

Cintron? ... who has fully accepted his gatekeepers card ... and you think about the other no names on his resume who've never did anything to make a name for themselves ...

    Andrew Lewis
    Golden Johnson
    Hercules Keyvelos
    Sebastian Lujan
    Danny Perez
    Antonio Diaz

Which one of those guys have gained any clout in the boxing world? ... yeah they're fighters, but what name puts him up in the same class as Cotto, Pacquiao, DLH, Mayweather, and Mosley?

Those guys who are listed, (if taken a loss) have fought better competition and bigger names than Margarito ... for the expecption of Cotto those guys i listed that have lost, the guys they lost to have more clout in the game than Margarito.

Call it what you want to, but outside of Cotto who can you say on his resume made some noise? (that he beat)

I haven't even began to speak about Paul Williams and Daniel Santos, who both hold world titles at 154 (Margarito is 0-1 at) and who are there for the taking.

I don't know who holds more blame, Margarito or his handlers ... someone should be talking about avenging those losses and keeping a legit winning streak against quality opposition.
