Mosley recently struggled against Mayorga for God's sake and his biggest most recent win at Welterweight is Collazo. Margarito is basically fighting a guy who lost to Cotto, though even more shot at this point, then plans to fight Cotto again. If that's not ridiculous then I don't know what it is, especially when a guy that beat him is the one knocking on his door with a career high payday to offer.

I don't even believe that Margo is a gatekeeper. If he's a gate keeper than what is Williams, Clottey, Cotto & Shane?

He's 37-5 ... and he has 2 losses to an active fighter ... he has one marquee win over a fighter who came in the fight under serious questioning and doubt.

Thats no different than Mayorga's win over Vernon Forrest ... or Baldomir at the time of his welterweight reign ...

When he held the WBO title, he wasn't a main figure in the sport and he was only make 1-2 defenses a year.

How is that any different from Allan Green who won got his fame off of Jaidon Codrington.

Arum is trying to drive Margaritto's money earning and public profile up.

Fighting Shane Mosely, who most causal fans and many general sports fans recognise is a good move in increasing his profile while still fighting a top class boxer and keeping him sharp.

A win over Mosley will bode well for Margaritto's future.

Cotto had a broken nose in the first round and was breathing through his mouth for 10 consecutive rounds ... I don't think it was anything that Margarito was doing to make Cotto quit ... and you never know, that victory can turn out to be a fluke ... he hasn't made any noise since then and i doubt he will now ...

Other than Cotto who has he beaten that was truly an elitist of the division?

Why hasn't he moved up in weight?

Why is he only challenging the big names after one marquee win?

Why does he have 5 L's on his resume and only 2 notable welterweight champions on his resume?

Why isn't he calling out Martinez, Santos, or Williams?

How is he not a gatekeeper, because he beat Cotto? ... wow ... why isn't he calling out the other champions in the division? ... where's Joshua Clottey's name, where's Berto's or Williams name?

Its only one reason why he's trying to cash out so fast ... the same reason Baldomir tried to ... because he and his handlers know that its only a matter of time before he finished.

Margarito's in the same boat as Verno Phillips ...

Yet his win over Cotto shits on any victory Floyd has on his resume. Go figure.

39-0 25KO's ... 6-time world champion, 5-division champion, 20 championship fights, over 14 former champions on his resume ... Margarito would never be able to say that, atleast not at the rate he's going ... he would be in his mid 40's and be a ****in HW before he can say something like that. He doesn't even have the balls to go up to 154 and make his case ... even Floyd has did that and got it right the first time ... Margarito lost to Santos and hasn't even thought about touching that division ... even though Martinez a guy he beat (and who's been on a hot streak) is a titlist.

Kirkland, Angulo, Forrest, Williams, Santos, and Martinez would beat him ... I would be surprised if D'Andre Latimore beat Margarito.
