I don't thin Margo is a gatekeeper. I think he is a legitimate Champ. He is fully capable of beating anyone at WW including Paul Williams. But that ain't really the problem. The difference is, although he knows he can lose, Paul and his management are still willing to fight. Margo's people are unwilling and just wants to cash in at the fame because they can see the risk.

Also. I am definitely in the minority on this one, but I see Cotto as an HBO hypejob. What the **** has he done to make everyone think he was the greatest **** ever? Nothing. He beat Zab after being hurt by him. He squeaked by Shane after being hurt by him. Cotto ain't garbage, but he aint even really top 3 in the WW. And he never has been.

A gatekeeper who just beat a Top 5 Welterweight and gave Williams a dam tough fight. If he was a gatekeeper, Williams would have run over Margo.

And if Williams was a bum, like some of these Margo fans claim, Margo would have done him like he did Golden ****in Johnson...:patsch

He has 5 losses, however you can't discount what he has accomplished...
I call Margie a ***** because I am still not over the Cotto loss.

You need to be. It will happen again, but more painfully next time. Cotto does not have what it takes to **** with him.

More importantly than me not being over the loss is Cotto himself.....
He will show that in the rematch with an asskicking that Margie will not
    forget.

Say what you will as you always do Neckbreakinakin.....Margie's rocks
for brains is slowly turning into Jello.

The OP has a good point as to him being a gatekeeper...I don't necessarily agree with it, but he makes his case and its a logical one.

Quite frankly...all the bull**** paper accomplishments (unifying divisions, lineal champions) are lame excuses for accomplishments when faced with the real question of "who did he beat?"...

There's no answer for that as far as PBF goes...its just uh uh...well...uh...HE'S UNDEFEATED!...and uh...he's uh...BEAT THE LINEAL CHAMP...uh...YEA!...:hey

If you want to **** on Cotto's career...you might as well **** on Hatton's...because who the **** did he beat at 140? A shot ass Castillo...a faded Tsyzu?? A bunch of ****in' eurobums? Yea okay...let's talk about hype job...I'm not trying to bash on Hatton, but it seems only fair since Floyd fans (not all but some have been lately) are shitting on Cotto...In reality...Floyd is known for beating 2 PEOPLE! Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton...that's it...no one knows of his bull**** paper accomplishments.

The fact of the matter is there's no real distinction in the WW division. None of the top tier fighters are fighting each other in order to weed out the best and which are just the true gatekeepers. Cotto was on the rise until ****ing it up against Margarito...Cintron has just got his ass kicked by Margo...Clottey hasn't done anything significant, but break his hands on Margo's stone face and ****ed himself from a victory...Williams LOST to a gatekeeper and came back and beat "The Man" @ 147 in a close fight...Margarito is the only one challenging all of these guys and beating them (Williams aside)...I personally feel there needs to be some ****in' matchs made up soon...Clottey vs. Cintron, Quintana, Cotto, Williams...Cintron vs. Quintana, Cotto, Williams...Cotto vs. Williams...JUST SOME SORT OF ****IN' MATCH-UPS ALREADY!! Otherwise...that entire division is filled with "gatekeepers"

The fact is...All the superstars of the sport are getting older and running fewer and losing more fights by the matchup...and once their gone...there won't be anymore people that can shoot people into stardom...

Floyd was a great fighter at 130 and 135...140+...he's the biggest cherry picker around...you can talk about alllll the negotiations that fell through and didn't happen, but the fact of the matter is...he's a ****in' Calzaghe running from the toughest opposition and staying retired talking serious amounts of ****...only chasing after Pacman because of the money...and I'm not sure this is a fight he finds completely winnable considering he wanted to bring back his father in the corner...that speaks volumes about the concern for this fight (if its made)...

**** all these bull**** hate posts...the threads to me...seem comical and funny and most people here get the joke...but the thread continues to grow and grow because of trolling mongers like Pimp C, Eze, Rickx1, Aztec Warrior, JM22, King Chille, Bazooka, Pugilist64, English Titan, Mexican Legend...****in A man...I don't think any of you are **** posters, but you guys are the most ridiculous of the bunch when it comes to discrediting people's accomplishments and career's. Get over it! Who gives a ****...

I'm sure after reading this it won't make a difference in the constant bickering...but **** it...maybe I'll wake one of you guy's up...

Which points would that be? :huh

Cotto has never won a linear championship nor has he ever unified a division. Either way, he's not the one being carefully selective about who he fights, and in the same breath calling himself the greatest fighter of all time. Regardless, what exactly is so great about unifying a division or winning a lineal championship when you're in against mediocre comp? Mayweather essentially became linear champ by defeating a fighter with 9 losses and 6 draws. It was only a unification match because Baldomir couldn't afford to pay all of the sanctioning fees required for his fight against Zab Judah. So the IBF allowed Judah to retain his title, though it clearly should have remained vacant. Trust, if Cotto became unified linear champ under these very same circumstances, I'm sure you'd be amongst the first to criticize it (and rightfully so).

Well according to you, he's not even physically stronger than Floyd :)lol:), so I'll take this with a grain of salt.

    I agree 100%.

Honestly, I think if you line these fools up 4 months at a time and make them ****ing fight each other, my boy will KO every last one of them, except possibly Clottey and Margo.

Make some matchups and quit ****in cherrypickin.
