If you're gonna make excuses for Morales quitting then I'm sure Cotto fans can find some for him to.

 

zakman cotto's corner threw in the towel because their fighter attempted to quit twice before and when margo ran at and cotto cowered in the corner he left them with no choice. it goes to show that you can run but you can't hide *****. H e even ran out of the ring after the beatdown.

 

If he had taken a knee in a nothing fight against a fighter from a different nation I'd have said it was a legit move but to do it like that in World Title Bout as a Puerta Rican against a Mexican was pretty cheap IMO, he really should have gone out on his shield with a bit of honour.

The difference is, Morales quit because he had nothing left...he was a SHOT fighter.

Cotto is in his prime. Morales never was knocked down or broken mentally at his best.

Cotto is a very skillful and gifted fighter, but he quit. He was broken physically and mentally by a fighter who he could not seem to hurt. It was his Tyson-like moment...
