if you start making excuses for why Morales quit then Cotto fans will make excuses too. If I understood correctly, from your point of view, if Morales was gonna quit then he should not have gotten in the ring in the first place. So once you accept to get in that ring then all excuses should be out the window
I'm sympathetic to this viewpoint, but my take is this. If his corner hadn't intervened, Cotto WOULD have gone out on his shield. Frankly, I think he should have been allowed the opportunity to do so. But if people have a quarrel with the way things ended, they should be after the cornermen not the fighter here. Cotto was ready to take his medicine and get starched. The corner prevented this fight from going to its natural conclusion.
That's just it right there! Alot of these assholes have never competed in any kind of combat sport at all, ever. I HAVE, and I can tell you it takes some serious balls to do what world class pro boxer do. These little ****s make me want to puke.
What the hell is the point of going toe-to-toe with someone when you have no chance of even hurting them. Go watch MMA if you like meaningless brutality.
most of them prolly quit highschool football because of the contact they didn't wanna feel i can about imagein them boxing
Cotto's a ***** huh?.....and just exactly who have you beating to be able to say that about someone like Cotto?.....
Cotto will probably be getting an even worse beating once that punk returns to Puerto Rico. at least Trinidad once got off the canvas FIVE times.
Unless a person has actually boxed, they have no idea what it is like to be in a confined space with somehow who's stated goal is to hit you as hard as they can as often as they can! Most of these little 15 year old bitches that come on ESB and start threads like this one would be stopped in the first round by Grady Brewer. Imagine what a guy like Miguel Cotto would do to them. And yet they come on here and talk **** like there's no tomorrow. It's disgusting!
I've boxed as an amature and I've never taken a knee in a fight even when I was getting beat up, I'm also a highly proficent Taekwondo fighter, it's irrelevent whether your opponent is world-class or not, if you quit at any thing in life your not going to get respect This content is protected . As I said in one of my earlier posts it's the circumstances of Cotto's defeat that disappointed me, because from my perspective theirs not a chance in hell I'd quit against an English fighter after working my whole life to get to that posiition like Cotto did against his people's rivals the Mexicans. His hunger has to be questioned after such a display IMO. And to cottodabodykill, take you non-athletic gay karate-chopping ass to the gym, for **** sake no practitioner of the martial arts should be unfit and over-weight, you must be doing it wrong.......you gimpish mo'****a:hi:
As opposed to you telling everyone who's clowned Cotto that you would punch them in them in the face....well done...armchair warrioratsch
I'm not making excuses...I'm stating fact. Morales bowed out of his fight because he knew he could no longer stand the punishment. The reason was that all of the wars had taken their tolls, and it was obvious that Morales just didn't "have it" anymore. When you see a 27 year old Cotto, in the prime of his career, get beaten into submission and made to effectively quit, you wonder if he will ever be able to come back to it. Once a warrior's heart is broken, sometimes they can't ever return to their previous dominance...
