Margarito isn't knocking out Mosley.

I agree. Not only does he have a great chin, but I don't see him taking too many direct shots from AM. His head movment is too good.

 

i can see Margo stopping SSM late, and i can see SSM going the full 12. What i don't see is Mosley winning this fight

 

Who hit Mosely harder than Margarito will hit him? DLH? I think Margo has more pop than Oscar, and besides, that was years ago. Forrest or Wright can't punch like Antonio either.
But actually, I agree with the original point . I don't believe anyone under 160 can stop Mosely. Shane is too much a combination of balls and durability.

 

I think Margarito can knock him out but it wont be from one puch. For the sake of argument, Margarito will wear him down in late rounds and has a strong possiblity finishing him like he did Cotto or Cintron.

 

Margo isnt a huge puncher he throws moderate power punches non stop he beats most oppents by taking there biggest bombs clean on the chin and not taking a step back breaking there spirt:bbb

 

It's not AM power "shot" that ko's his opponents, it's his 90+ punches 20+ power "shots" per round that opponents cant handle..

As for AM not being able to land a lot of clean shots to SSM head, you forget that AM will viciously attack to the body in the early rounds... This will defiantly slow down any head movement as well as lower SSM hands..

 

He fought a 170 Mayorga...i think Mayorga at that weight carried far more punching power than Margarito does...I actually dont even think Margo has great punching power either...I think he has decent punching power and just manages to get enough power shots in after taking 4 or 5 of his opponents best shots to the head...

But i must agree that i really don't see him winning this fight...but i also heard he fired his dad as his trainer for this upcoming fight...

so maybe that might play a HUGE roll in his success or defeat in this fight...

 

i can very much see this being a stoppage win for margo.....mosely aint superman...plus hes old for 147 pounds......

 

It's not out of the realm of possibility because Mosley can be baited to into trading at times but do do think it's highly unlikely.

stylistically, SSM is gonna get stopped.

 

Mosley's punch resistance must be on the decline.

He's got a fantastic chin though, and Margo doesn't hit as hard as people make out.

I see a stoppage, but not because Mosley is hurt. I think he just gets overwhelmed with the volume of punches and the ref stops it.
