Let's look at Margo last 5 fights and see if yhou guys agree with me that his skills are on the decline..sure he is 4-1, but lest see...

Lujan: won, but showed signs of having trouble with short stocky opponents, it took him 10 rounds to figure lUjan, and even though he was up on the card it was not an easy fight...

Cintron: Well little we can learn about this fight since the mental debukled that Cintron experincen on this fight...but he look sharp in the last 2 rounds...

Gomez: this was less than a sparring session for Margo...

Clottey: he exposed some defencive deficiencies that Margo has and in all honesty if his hands would have not given up he should ahve won taht fight...

PW: again he look slow and lethargic with sure he figure out PW by the5th but his out put and pop was declining...

At this point I strongly beleive that after last night Margo is starting to be past his prime....

Margarito isn't on the decline he just fought a much busier and stronger fighter ..I'm sure a fight with Mosley or Cotto would be diffrent .

Sure it would be different against Cotto, he will get KTFO.....plain and simple....to many holes on his defence

If his last five are him on the decline he wasnt a lot to begin with. Before the last five he lost to Daniel Santos.

Nope, I didn't say he was shot, but I been watching his fights and his leverage and footwork is not slowing and he doesn;t have the same leverage as he did for example against Kyvelos fights or even the Santos fights, give styles makes fights, but his zip on his punches more visible on the Clottey fight and last night ...is not there.....

    It's called inactivity.

Fighting once a year can't help a young welterweight in his prime like him. He's only 28 !

Morales has 50 fights including over 25 wars !

I'm almost sure that inactivity is what is killing Margarito, not his physical condition. He looked bad everytime he took a long break (Lujan, Clottey and now Williams) and could only get started in the second half of the fight.

Partially true, but those are also the fights he has look with very poor technique on his punches, and lack of leverage.....Margo....I beleive he is on the decline...and his next fight will be far more telling than this one....

He was never worth a damn from the begining. Being at 147 for 10 years and never facing or beating the man there tells you everything you need to know about him.:deal

    Might be true.

But being poor technically is also caused by inactivity IMO. In his fight against Cintron, he looked really ''sharp'' for a wide puncher like him.

Only time will tell I guess.

That Cintron doesn;t exist anymore, he was there for take the entire 5 rounds for Margo....never again...in the rematch, if it happens and I beleive that it might since Cotto will fight SSM and that leave Margo without a fight and Kermit is ready, unless PW and Kermit FIGHT...Kermit will avenge his lost to Margo....The Margo that showed up last night vs. Kermit of last night is a no contest...

Cintron would kill Margo in a rematch. He has improved under Manny.
