...because there is no way in hell that Clottey should be able to hang with him at all after what is going on tonight. Clottey looks like crap, and he will never, ever defeat Margarito. It's round 8 and this fight is not a good one, but at least Zab is trying. Clottey is in his shell and looks, frankly, pathetic. I missed the pick on this one. Unless Clottey comes on late, Judah is going to win the fight. After tonight, if anyone tells you that Clottey could beat Margarito, you tell them to get off of the crack. I totally overrated Clottey, I admit it. He isn't jack. Margarito's shutting him out for the final 8 rounds obviously had little to do with Clottey's supposed injuries. Margarito's ankle and wrist (I think it was the wrist) must have really been bad that fight, and the layoff must have hurt him, too. The Margo that fought last weekend KO's the Clottey that is fighting tonight. At the end of round 8 Judah pinned Clottey in a corner and landed some decent shots. Zab is not this good, especially at 147. Which means Clottey really isn't that good. Clottey gets fluke cut win, I think. Clottey will be destroyed by Margarito. He has NO shot. None.
Clottey really looked bad tonight. He got the technical decision win after Judah was cut, but I thought he would dominate Zab. He is fortunate.
Margarito didn't always have that much intensity, and determination. I mean he lost to Paul Williams mainly because he let himself lose. After that though, he realized he was such a slow starter, and worked on starting faster, and hasn't lost since. Just because it's the same guy doesn't mean it's the same version. People can turn a new leaf in life...Especially after a dissapointing loss. Much like Paul Williams. He looks horrible against Quintana, and loses a decision, he comes out, and ANNIHILATES the guy!!! Like I said turning a new leaf, a whole different version. So, as for versions the ones I want to see is Marg vs Williams. Came off defeats that made them better, and of course Marg coming off the defeat from Williams should give him some drive. I'm thinking these two are on a different level than Clottey is now. Of course he'd give anybody a tough time, but there workrate would be much to high for him.
What's with all these excuses? He didn't look GREAT, but he won the fight and his fight w/ Margo was much more entertaining and intense. You can't make ridiculious claims because of one fight. As for Margarito and Williams, what is this about "Margo not taking it serious, letting loose .. etc. ." How about you just give Williams props and say he fought a tough fight and edged it out with class? That's as bad as everyone saying Margo was "too big" or else he would have "lost to Cotto." Jeesh. Can't a guy ever just WIN a fight because he was the better man for the night? DAMN!
Dude, Clottey sucked tonight. Again, I picked him to destroy Zab but that is not what happened at all. I can't believe Zab looked as good as he did. Someone needs to teach Clottey to throw more punches.
After the 3rd Clottey man handled Judah who just tried to steal rounds. Clottey and Judah are natural counter punchers. Dont see why you just expect a counterpuncher to become a great pressure fighter in one fight.
