Koa, Margarito fights tall in every fight. What have you been watching?

He always fights at his range. Sometimes he has been guilty of falling into counters sure, but he still throws from the outside and leads from the outside.

As Rafael mentioned, Lujan had some success early pressuring Margarito. That is probably Cotto's best shot at winning this. But if the rounds go by and Margarito is still there he may begin to find his range on Cotto and start teeing off. Once Margarito found his range against Lujan it was target practice. Lujan was stopped by the ear but would have been stopped by bodyshots not much later than that. He was seriously in trouble when it was stopped.

Cotto can win this, but it seems his best chance is to attack Margarito. We'll see what he does. Personally if he runs from Margarito I think he's in for a long, hard night.

If I had to give a definate answer right this moment, I would say in his corner. I would say that he was told by his corner to start fighting defensively by the way he just started fighting during the begining of that round. But to be totally honest, it could be either. Overall, I think his ring intelligence is legit, you don't just start fighting defensively on command with that sort of success against that calibre of fighter. Of course, the true measure of his ability will be when he gets into trouble and is in a sink or swim situation. If he can make a style adjustment and turn the tide of a round.

Not so sure. Cotto is good at controlling the distance in fights. I still don't see how Margarito fights tall when I seldom see him even throw a straight punch. He telegraphs most punches, in contrast to Cotto who has short strong movements that are hard to pick up. Margarito really has long looping punches that he starts throwing anywhere from mid to short range and is more a walk you down sort of fighter. I can picture Margarito throwing that not so crisp jab he throws, react to a feint and then lead with his head with an attempt at a counter cross while he dives in. His punches are very deliberate and not very fast.. I know I sound very critical of Margarito, to be honest I wish there were more guys around that are tough and as determined as him. If he had good training when he was younger, hell if he had better training NOW, he could be a much better boxer to go along with his mauling and brawling abilities. He really is a phenominal specimen.
