Margarito needs to finish Cotto - Edit- Foreman to do it instead

They are both going to fight at 154 next. And there is a real possibility Goosen may go after Cotto next if he beats Foreman and Paul beats Cintron. Actually, it's pretty inevitable. I'll be taking all bets.


By the way, I might be in the minority, but I think Cotto may do better at 154 than he has at 147 as of late. I just don't honestly think he can match up with P.

PW is fighting Cintron on May 8 (154). Cotto is Fighting Foreman soon (154). When they both win it will be the next logical fight. And Goosen will apply a little pressure to get the fight signed.


As far as Sergio, Paul has a lot more improvement to make in the event of a rematch. He learned a lot of lessons midfight that will be of real asset to him the next go around.

After Sergio BHops Pavlik, they will eventually get back at it. This time they will both probably have a 154 belt.

 

I've felt that Cotto has been overrated for some time now. I became skeptical of him during the Torres fight. Everyone tries to hype Torres up but the guy was a late replacement for that fight with a padded record littered with stiffs. When you're billed as one of the sport's best like Cotto, you shouldn't be struggling like that against guys like Torres. Since this fight he's been destroyed twice and has also gotten a couple of gifts. No doubt that Cotto is a good fighter, just not as good as advertised IMO. Hopefully, Cotto can beat Foreman. That will make him a 3 division champ, and it will mark the first time that he actually beat a reigning belt holder for a title.

I don't for the life of me understand why everyone is so keen on a Cotto/PW fight. That is a mismatch if I ever saw one. PW is too big for Cotto. I know PW is your boy, but you must really hate Cotto to want to see him fight PW.

I don't think anyone one "hates" him as much as I do. But for me, it's more of in a sports sense. Honestly, he seems like a good guy who gives his all. I just don't root for him in the ring. I wish the best for him outside of it.


Plus, I think he was a little overrated over the past few years when Paul was begging to fight him, but was turned down repeatedly, without hesitation.
