I'm pretty sure if Williams beats Phillips (as he should but we've heard that before with Paul) he'll stick around at 154 and maybe move up to 160 for an occasional big money fight with guys like Pavlik or King Arthur.

Sure he wanted it, like I want to become the undisputed heavyweight champion.

My question remains, is there any official call out?, any official offer?, any official date they want the fight happening in?

Williams and his team have a date if Margarito wants it, an offer and OFFICIAL call outs. Sorry but the usual Margarito bull**** screaming and yelling means nothing, I want something official sent from his team to Williams' apart from media rubbish and bull**** trash talking that we're used to hearing from him and his team.

Of course you need actual offers to call someone out, trash talking doesn't always do it, you send out an offer like Goossen sent to Margarito with a career high payday to sign for, now that's a SERIOUS offer.

David Haye might have talked some smack but what did he get from Wladimir as a response?, he basically told him to **** off and do something in the division before jumping in like that.

Also, Margarito didn't real seriously try to make a rematch apart from a few trash talks here and there, did they make a fuss like they did with Mayweather?, or a fuss like Williams are doing with Margarito?

It only took him a few months to sign for Golden Johnson then jumped for Cintron.

Williams already said that if Margarito and his team finally decide to make it he will move down immediately. So that's not totally out of the question, at least not yet.

Different situation indeed, Mayweather's situation is FAR better than Margarito's, yet he got far more **** for it. :deal

WHAT exactly is an official call out?

He had an article on a scenic boxing sites asking for a Williams rematch...but what is an official one? A press release? A formal invitation for a rematch?

Margarito wanted the rematch but things came up. Now Williams wants the rematch and Margarito is IN HIS MIND returning the favor to Paul. Nowhere did I say I agreed with it...just showing you what he feels is his side of the coin?

I can safely say that IF it happens, it won't happen anytime soon. There's some ridiculous bad blood there between them.

I am a fan of Margo, but it seems stange to turn down a payday, Mosley imo would be easy money for him at this stage.

Oponents are slim pickings it seems, if Cotto, Mosley, Berto, Williams are all out of the question...

Maybe Clottey is the fight he is looking for...????:huh

The floyd / margarito comparisons need to stop being made floyd & margarito's situations are completely different and at this point its just like a big pissing contest... its pointless so just talk about the situation at hand

Oh I know you don't agree and this isn't a discussion of you agree and I disagree, just a discussion of the situation, nothing heating up here.

About official call outs, Williams' recent letter to Margarito's team is what I call an official call out. It's when one team sends a letter with a career high payday in it for the other team(also the loser of the first fight in this situation) then you know that's a SERIOUS call out and one I would consider official.
