He might have beatenn Clottey, but Clottey has one of the major belts now, along with Paul Williams. You would think he would want to unify the titles become the undisputed champ, but he is too scared.

He wants to fight a guy he already beat, one that has no belts, but made his name crying about how he was the most feared man in boxing. Margarito is turning into a joke.

it will be intersting to see who he fights before Cotto now and for how much. I didnt think Mosley had much of a chance anyway and 2mil...? Whatever

Wow being a fan of margarito he has disappointed me a lot these past few months... first no williams, then no clottey, and now no mosley??? I think hes already concentrating on the possibility of a rematch with cotto... maybe he doesnt want a big threat to ruin that... will never know why fighters really turn down fights... I just can't believe it would have been margarito... reasons like this is why I appreciate fighters like cotto who always step up to the plate...

That belt was Tonys he beat Cintron for that IBF title the IBF stripped him for fighting Cotto in attempts to unify, and th belt that Williams held isnt much of a belt anyhow.

although oscar & floyd didnt earn the top dog spot the traditional way (by beating everyone) they were the top dogs and had all the bargaining power..

which was earned i guess by being p4p #1 or having fought so many special fighters....

margarito hasnt done anything to have any arguing leverage.. which makes me really confused about what he's doing

edit: maybe margarito's people have convinced him into thinking he is the #1 since he beat cotto who was technically #1 after floyd left and now margarito's people actually believe margarito can just turn down whoever he wants until its time to make a bunch of $$

At this stage though he probably can turn down fights, he is the man who beat the #1 welter weight, so he is in that position. unless Floyd comes back at 147 which I doubt. Oscar doesnt want to fight Tony, for good reason.

he is the man @ ww yes.....

but as far as being the man to turn down fights to make the most money he is not.. if money is his main goal he's doing a poor job of conducting himself

like oscar can turn down people because that many people are knocking on his door and no matter who it is its going to make ALOT OF MONEY

floyd (way less than oscar) but can also turn down people because that many people are knocking on his door and no matter who he fights its going to make money

theres nobody knocking on margarito's door that will make him a lot of money.. so whats the point of what hes doing?

Maybe he is playing the waiting game to see of DLH beats Manny perhaps he can cash in or perhaps he is waiting to see if Floyd is still set to call for a Hatton rematch. who knows, your right there isnt alot of money there for him, But just becuase he is taking his time right now doesnt mean he is ducking anybody.

I am not sure why everybodys mad that he didnt mop the canvas with Shane, I mean honestly you dont really think Shane wins in that fight do you:huh

i thought shane was going to get rocked but regardless i wanted to see it..
and im not implying margo is a ducker... his motives just make no sense....

oscar will fight - hatton, floyd, tito, jc jr, cotto before he fights margarito
floyd will fight- hatton oscar manny cotto before he fights margarito
manny & hatton are too small for marg

so all this big money talk is worhtless

Then what does that tell you in your own words, Both Floyd and Oscar will do what ever it takes to not face Antonio Margarito

    no

you think they care about margarito?

they would rather get rich.. just like margarito is waiting around for some big money fight...

nobody is worried about fighting to prove whos the most dominant fighter though defeating other fighters... theyd rather get money...

I know what you mean. Im Mexican and i was all for Cotto. A Cotto victory would have just been better for boxing. He would defiantely be the biggest star in boxing right now and could actually carry boxing.
