Your post is full of so many holes I don't know where to start. If you think a guy who applies ineffective aggression and uneducated pressure like Margo brings will trouble PBF then you don't know **** about boxing. Margo is a one-dimensional fighter who got by with loaded gloves a good chin good stamina and feasting on smaller men. That's him in a nutshell, the very definition of overrated. He doesn't do anything that troubles PBF. He's not a big puncher he was loading his gloves he doesn't have a jab, he comes forward looking to eat shots, he doesn't have any hand speed he doesn't throw straight shots he throws wide looping shots. That a defensive master like PBF would have seen a mile away and countered the **** out of him, it actually would have been funny to watch. He's plodder with a low ring IQ a slow starter who would be behind 6 rounds before he even got started. PBF wouldn't lose a round to this windmill.:deal

Lastly Oscar didn't almost beat PBF. PBF won that fight going away the SD was a cruel joke. The judge who scored the fight for Oscar gave Oscar the 10th round a clear round in which PBF won. That right there tells you everything you need to know about his card and credibility.

Baldomir easily and clearly. I don't see why any serious boxing fan would vote for Margarito at that point. As much as I dislike him, I would easily vote for him if he was worth fighting for the sake of progress within the sport. Sadly, he had nothing but baseless hype in 2006.

The demolition of Cotto proved othewise.

You can jump, scream and yell all you want that Margarito may have had loaded wraps, but certainly nobody knew that at that point.

Mayweather ducked the two most dangerous welters at that point who were chomping at the bit to fight him, Margarito and Williams.

You're a complete bafoon if you say Baldomir was the most dangerous welter during that time frame.

Baldomir did everything pretty good and did nothing great.
He was a C level champion at best. Never near a p4p type.

For you clowns to come in here and say beating Judah a mental midget who's proven to be a 2nd tier fighter over the years, made Baldomir "the man"

The problem with crediting Baldomir in proper context for his win over Judah is that you have to take into account the way Judah was prepared and fought.
Obviously he took Baldomir lightly. Went into the fight and found out Baldomir trained like a beast.......and physically, Judah was not up to the task as his body would'nt respond to a good skilled fighter who's mindset was all business.

A professional of even Mayweather's skill does'nt just lax in training and expect to climb a ring and dominate a fighter that has great dicipline like Baldomir and is also pretty good skillwise to boot.

Mayweather dominates such types because he's diciplined during training camp. He puts in the work to bring out his skills!

JUDAH lacked that dicipline in training camp thus the reason why he lacked energy and focus to even make the Baldomir fight competitive.
Baldomir pretty much had his way over a Judah that was ill prepared and unfocused.

Talent and skillwise, Judah hold an enormous edge over Baldomir.
That edge however is trumped when you lack dicipline against a fighter like Baldomir thats all diciipline.

You're talking too much sense for this lot divac :good

A fight with Margarito circa 2006, regardless of result would have shortened the career of Mayweather, at the very least, hence it never happened.

    Dead on.

Baldomir had the best win. Margarito was the more dangerous opponent.

    Just as I expected.

    Some people answer the thread.

Most people choose to divert the thread in order to get their agenda driven opinions on issues that grind their gears across.

Margarito is a dangerous fighter for someone like Cotto, who has a shaky chin and stamina issues, as well as so-so defense.

Against a master like Mayweather? Margarito may win the opening round. That's it though. 11-1 Mayweather, easy work.

What do you expect when you make a thread to blatantly push an agenda of your own?

He won't even win the 1st round. Margo is a slow starter and would be down 6-0 before he even knew what hit him.
