Margarito's still more durable than Cotto by a good distance. Both are pretty faded though, but sometimes Margarito looks like he can barely move his legs and arms. He was never fast, but he looks like he's in slow-motion now. Cotto can still throw some quick, crisp combinations and dance around the ring (as ugly at it looks when he does so). However, if Cotto takes another beating, I think it'll be the end of him. He can't take another brutal assault.

In the 2008 fight ? Easily Cotto. Cotto spent most of that fight moving away and he rarely actually sat down on his punches it wasnt anything close to what Margarito went through agianst Mosley or Pacquiao. Cotto was beat the **** down, had his face ripped apart and basically quit because it was so bad and hes phyiscally never been the same. Margarito can still take a beating like he always has.

It is not as if either ever were super elite boxers to began with. Cotto is more talanted than Margarito. With or without plaster wraps Cotto/Maragarito would play out the same way, with Cotto off to an early lead and fading late. The only question is can he hold on with a big enough lead. Margarito/Mosley also would have been the same even if his illigal wraps were not discovered. Mosley is a world class boxer Margarito is not.
