I refuse to take any of this drivel seriously wait until the 13th and see how this blueprint works.....of course if I doctor my gloves and land anywhere I will break you down that **** has been discovered and is over, I cant wait for Margo to come back and get ****ed up. His little advantage wont help him now and we will see how good his chin is now that guys can load up and go full throttle without worrying about the heavy shots from the plaster, you stupid ignorant ****s!!!!!

If anything the blueprint for beating the fraud that is Margarito is what is clear
dont let this piece of **** load his gloves and lay into his nonboxing ass as he weaves in face first.

Well obviously getting hit with harder shots (if Margo loaded) can affect an opponent's stamina, game-plan, facial damage, body damage, etc...

It's unknown whether or not Margo cheated in the Cotto fight, but what is more known is that Cotto once again showed his vulnerability to the uppercut. Judah stunned him with some nice uppercuts, Torres hurt him seriously with some uppercuts (or hooker-cuts)...Manny Steward pointed out that the uppercut was a punch that Cotto's been hit with throughout his career.

I remember Cotto saying that he couldn't get through with a solid body attack, but never really elaborated on it. Margarito probably defended it better than expected. I haven't seen the fight in some time, but was he countering effectively when Cotto went to the body?

Marga shut down the body attack pretty well...he often blocked a lot of the shots because his long arms could cover his body, and he seemed generally unworried about taking shots to the head. Though he didnt just allow himself to be hit.
He also used his size and physical strength to stifle Miguel attacks to the body, but not really allowing Cotto to jostle into a good punching position when in close.

Im not so sure if Margarito laid out a blueprint...he walked through a kind of hell most wouldnt have been able to.

But I do know this...before he is finished Miguel Cotto will be knocked out again..He is a great fighter, one of my favorites but his durability and stamina limitations are well known now. Its just a matter of time before it happens again..I hope whilst he is in his prime it doesnt and his next stoppage loss happens down the track when he is fading.

    He WILL BEAT Clottey.

I think Cotto would've just got torn up even worse and stopped quicker if he traded more and used less movement.

Clinching is boring as hell, but if he'd been able to hold more then it would've increased his chances to win.

thats exactly right BUT how can someone say that 100% for sure he cheated when cottos punches weren't even having any effect on Margarito. You have to admit that when you see that your punches are having zero effect on your opponent, that takes away your confidence in the ring making you more vulnerable to more punishment which is EXACTLY what happened to cotto. Loaded gloves or not, he lost all desire by the end of the fight. Its not like he was knocked out cold, he gave up.

When you're backing up all night because you're getting hit in the face with rocks it's hard to sit down on your punches.

So Clottey applies relentless pressure with his face and body, doesn't give Cotto time to breathe ( b.c. Cotto will have his hands full of throwing bombs at this walking forward target) and takes control of the action by eating everything and pressuring Cotto to break... Yes, cause nobody expects Clottey to beat Cotto to the punch. Who can execute this gameplan? Maybe someone else other than Clottey but I would change the gameplan and apply it to Joshua: Take control of the action by punching harder and not getting hit as much.

it was never a mystery on how to beat cotto, the trick is being able to take his punishment to get inside on him......

It's too bad not everybody can take a shot like margarito:nut Yes he applied pressure but also got hit in return. Can this so called opponents who will apply relentless pressure survive is the question:lol:

Cotto always doesnt like pressure, he like to put pressure. the only reason why I picked Margarito is because I know hes just gonna come foward the whole time and Cotto wouldnt be used to that. I'm thinking Clottey my do the same thing but I dont know if its gonna work. a blueprint?? I dont know, but he doesnt like pressure at all

I don't think thats the whole story. You can be beaten mentally by a feather fisted puncher and still give up. Look at Duran-Leonard, Ali-Foreman... both not considered destructive punchers but still got their opponents to give up mentally.

yeah, except you're wrong. SRL had serious power and Ali had decent pop when he sat down on his punches.

Without loaded gloves, Margo NEVER gets cotto on the back foot all night, and gets KTFO after eating about 1500 unanswered punches in the first three rounds. Mosley got out of a wheelchair and beat him up like he was a little girl without his secret weapons in his gloves, so keep fantacizing about how special this guy is.
