Margarito - Pavlik ... at the catchweight between 155lb - 158lb

at 160 those who feel margo deserves to have his head handed to him would get there wish and a whole lot more. it would be a nasty one sided beating. you want to stand in front of kelly and block his shots w/ your face then you better have nothing to live for.

at 155ish....eh....i doubt he can get down there. he came into camp at 185 for martinez and that's not excess weight, he's solid at that weight. they have to do everything right just to get to 160.

 

Like the others I'm not sure that Pavlik can make anything bellow 160. And even if he can this match doesn't make sens to me. At 160 Pavlik will murder Margo

 

If he could make 158 without killing himself, he'd kill Margarito. I'd worry for Margo's safety.

Fighters will tell you the last five pounds are the hardest. Anything below 160 is going to be SEVERE for Kelly at this point. Doobie pointed out where Kelly stands physically at the moment. Entered camp at a SOLID 185.

This would be an awesome fight. I don't think they need a catchweight. Pavlik comes in 160 and Margarito at 157 or 158. Exciting fight. I would pick Pavlike to win this one.

 

Pavlik shouldn't try to drop below 160lbs, so I'm not going to even entertain the catchweight idea. If they fought at 160lbs, Margarito gets knocked cold. Pavlik would hold every single advantage in the fight and would win by knockout. The odds would be so deeply in Pavlik's favour that, even knowing it was a foregone conclusion, there would be no point betting.

 

If there is a god of boxing...... please hear my prayer. Let this fight happen. I want Pavlik, and his formerly staph infected hand, to destroy Margarito and his formerly plaster infected hands.

PS- i think Pavlik vs Angulo has a far better chance of happening than this.
