Margarito being a big enough hypocrite to tell the commission to "honor their words" is some blasphemous ****. This man shamed the sport of boxing, the commission doesn't owe him a damn thing. He was told he could re-apply for a license after a one year suspension, not that he was banned for a year and free to fight once that year was over. He's too stupid to know what any of that means, apparently. I don't see why Oscar is ****ing with him when it's none of his business, but if Antonio Margarito want's to tell people to represent themselves with honor he should start with himself. He's a disgrace.
He should be allowed to fight. His status and legacy are already hurt. Just inspect his gloves, as you should be doing always.
LoL a guy who is caught with potentially deadly weapons in his gloves.... and he is crying about people not wanting him in the sport Dude is lucky he got a slap on the wrist and no jail time... But i guess when you go easy on people, they always end up bitching **** is unfair anyway:finger5
It's not just that he cheated, but it's the kind of cheating. Steroids is the type of cheating a person can reasonably come back from. Loading your gloves is the type of cheating which can cost lives. So while a boxer on steroids gets suspended for a year, or Mike Tyson got suspended, this type of cheating doesn't put lives at risk. Margaritos cheating may have permanently ruined Cotto, and countless others.
Funny how Oscar is so passionate about condemning Margo but pretty much shrugs at the fact that Shane Mosley used PEDs to beat him. Oscar certainly has beef with Margo. I heard when they used to spar against each other Oscar would show displeasure. If I'm Margo, I'd be content with fighting in Mexico. I don't blame him for at least trying to get a license in America. But if he's denied then he shouldn't lose sleep over it because he brought the whole **** upon himself.
I think Nazim's issue with Tito's wraps was more of a verbatim compliance thing.. I remember Hopkins saying something to the effect of Naz being very meticulous when watching trainers wrap hands, and that he would often get under the skin of trainers because of it.
Bazooka's exaggerating the situation. The way I understand it is Margo was sent home for being too aggressive in the gym. Here's his own words. “On two different occasions, I made him bleed. Once from the nose, and the other time from the ear. Unfortunately, both times they sent me back down.”
