I truly believe Margarito should retire now.

I was half and half on this fight, I never thought Mosley would knock him out but for everyone who said Mosley was shot I was strongly against that notion.

Mosley was awesome and if he can fight in that aggressive style he will probably be the new man to beat at welterweight.

People, I personally would like to see Margarito call it a day because as of now any other fight he has he will either be stopped or beaten up because he just has no punch resistance left.

He got all the punch resistance beat out of him tonight.

One thing that I really dont want to hear is Mayweather would beat him,
Please do not think because Mosley did that, that Mayweather could because Mosley and Mayweather are totally different fighters.

Mosley cracked Margarito with hard punches from round 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9

He got absolutely battered and I really dont want to see this man back in the ring.

Mosley on the other hand is the man right now and a rematch against Cotto could end Cotto also so who would like to see Mayweather vs Mosley at this point ?

I think that would be a seriously thought contest and Mosley just looked like an executioner tonight.

Margarito is now officially not going to be the same after tonight...

I did actually bet on the KO because the odds were crazy and I won £800 but I didn't think it was going to happen but it did. So although its a sad ending boxing is unpredicatable and it just goes to show that we should never judge fighters off their last performances.

No doubt after this Margarito will be heading down the Holyfield route if he chooses to fight on. There is no point in him fighting Cotto or Williams, or Mayweather or Pacquiao or anyone else now for that matter, this isn't about bouncing back it is about simply saving your brain cells from more punishment.

    Peace...

    Amen.

Margarito may well have been an over-achiever, but he had his time in the spotlight, but he cannot keep taking those kind of shots and expect to be talking properly. He should retire, he had a beautiful wife, have some kids, settle down with the money, and leave this sport behind. It'll be the end of him.

    Congratulations to Mosley.

Mate, it took 9 rounds of some of the hardest welterweight bombs in the world and you say he has no punch resistance? Go to bed.

That is the most annoying thing besides the cheating talk. Margarito took some of the hardest shots I've seen thrown at 147 in recent times tonight. that sounds like a big statement, but I mean he consistently took shots flush where Mosley would sit down and sometimes even load up the right hand. Any fighter at 147 currently gets knocked out after taking that many sustained bombs. Anybody. We're all human.

What I can say is, Margarito will not have an iron chin from this day forward.

Without the chin he's finished. He took the beating of his life and should retire.
