I don't think Marg will have any trouble making weight. He's fought at 147 throughout his entire career, if anything, I'd say 150 is almost an ideal weight for him.

If people say his performance against Garcia was poor, would it not be at least viable to proportion some of his mis-performance to his inexperience at 154?

I refuse to believe that the weight could possibly be a problem. Ariza coming out with all this crap pre-fight is just his idea of mind games, exercising his title as the p4p king's nutrionist (basically just looking for some attention).

...and after all that, it was Pac that missed his target weight.

    How so?
Pacquiao had stated he did'nt want to gain the mass that Ariza would have preffered. Roach backed Pacquiao.
Pacquiao is at about the same weight he fought Clottey and Cotto.

It looked like Margo didn't struggle to make 150 lbs. so scratch that "Margo is weight drained" excuse. :D

I guess we'll find out tomorrow night. But if Margarito is rendered the same physical wreck as De la Hoya was, Pacquiao will go down as the biggest fraud the game has ever seen

and that was for two 147 pound fight, cotto and clottey weighed in at 146 and 147 respectively. this time his opponent weighed in at 150 and would possibly come at 162 on fight night. Pac on the other hand is struggling to add weight lol

margo looked ripped and healthy on the weight in like he didn't struggled at all, he said on his interview with Inez sains that he didn't have to miss his meal. on the third installment of 24/7, he was already on 154 lbs two weeks before the fight

Margarito weighed in at 150 lbs, but I'd bet he struggled just as much to make that, that Clottey did to make 147 lbs.

.....and btw mosquito this excuse that Pacquiao struggles to gain weight cant be used when you have Freddie Roach saying that he wont let Pacquiao fight below Welter.

What reason would Roach have to say such a thing if Pacquao was struggling to make 147 lbs????

According to Freddie Roach, Pacquiao's a full fledged welter, and he's fighting a fighter in Margarito who should be weighing at the very lowest 154 lbs, but is actually coming down 4 lbs from that so the fight can be made.

The reality here is that a full fledged welterweight is fighting a handicapped full fledged juniormiddleweight.

the reality is margo fought all his life at 147 had one recent fight at 154 where he looked sluggish. pac could have forced him to fight at 147 but conceded three pounds because he wanted the belt. and don't make it like margo had to struggle to make weight, he was 154 last time with two weeks to go, in his interview after the weigh-in he said he didn't even had to skip his meals to make weight.

Pac had to consume loads of protein shakes to gain weight and he made 144 even without trying, he was eating full meals during camp, don't make it sound like pac was trying hard to shed off weight because it was the complete opposite of that. there are many reasons whe roach would not want pac to drop down below welter, one is that yoyo weight jumping is not generally favored by many trainers, second is that another prize fighter of roach is fighting below welter and roach said he wouldn't want to coach either in case khan and pacquiao decides to fight
