People throw the word excuse around too easily. In boxing, alot of things can have an impact on the outcome of a fight. It's not just "the better fighter will win every time".

are you always making up stories and exagerating figures?

so how come pac cannot even get a 35% share against oscar but can enforce oscar to a rehydration clause? give me a credible source for this and not just something coming out of your joyboy ass.

and pac was 145 against jmm, please give me an eveidence that he is 146 against jmm? and fight night weight is not as accurate as the official weigh-in since they are not wearing just trunks anymore.

Where's the proof there was a rehydration clause for the Oscar fight? I call BULL****.
Oscar's team ****ed up the rehydration. He was down in weight for too long, that's why he didn't rehydrate up properly.

What happens if margo comes in overweight? Is there a financial penalty or what?

oscar and his team ****ed-up. they made a gameplan based on speed coz they knew that he is naturally bigger than pacquiao. they stayed on the weight for so long that oscar essentially was weighing normally around 147 and does not require to drain water.

that is their mistake since even at a low weight, he could not match pac speed for speed.

Oscar also wanted to fight Hatton after Pac at 140. That may also have had something to do with Oscar cutting the weight quickly and coming in 145.

If pac dont win its because they didnt have the catchweight low enough.

I believe Garcia said that Margo is ready ,he will tip the scale at 150 and come fight night 160 ,162 thats good weight for Margo. I can remember Paul Williams came in 170 at fight night for a WW fight.
If this is the case I see Pac getting his ass handed to him tomorrow.

Wow, so many pages... just to add my two cents. Cotto was not weight drained for his fight against Pac, he just wasn't good enough to beat Pac that night. I doubt Margarito will be drained for this fight. I don't think 150 is ideal for him, I actually think it's ideal for Cotto, but I think the weight will not be a problem for him.

From what I understand, Margarito struggled at welter against Mosely because he gained too much weight in between the Cotto fight and the Mosely fight. With the suspension it's understandable that Margarito is going to have a harder time making 147 when he spent so much time without going that low, but after making 154 comfortably I think 150lbs is fine for him especially after the best preparation he´s ever had.

Margarito has been fighting at 147 for years...and recently too. Why all the sudden won't he be able to make 150? He'll make the weight comfortably...some a y'all need to stop with all the drama

Why the come back fight at 154? Why not take Manny at 147? Because obviously he had trouble making 147lbs. Based on what was reported, the Mosley fight was evident of this, and from that lesson learned, they decided not to fool around with it. Take into account the 1+ yr layoff that he had.

Most boxers eventually move up in weight as they mature and age. DLH did this, Tito, Cotto, all did this. Its possible his body isnt giving in to making 147lbs anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if he never fights at 147lbs again in his career.

If he looks like he did here today at weigh-in I think it would be fair to say he struggled to make weight.
