If found to have had a foreign hard substance beside compressed gauze and tape in those hand wraps, I say throw Margarito, his trainer, and the CSAC inspector all in jail and throw away the key........certainly I'd be for banishment for life........

.....and to add to that, the federal government should step in and break away with the CSAC.

Holy ****,the eccentric millionaire is back!:lol:By the way,Radar, casting a shadow on past performances has nothing to do with the Mosely fight, nor does it even infer Margo cheated at the Cotto fight. They are seperate and not linked, despite the fact you are suggesting such.
Welcome back to the land of peasants.

The Commission has already confirmed that a foreign substance was removed and is now being analysed for content. Does your stand mean that anything short of hardened plaster should be forgiven? You keep referring to "hard" substances. What if it was designed to harden during the course of the bout with excessive moisture added to the mix? What about intent? Nothing but gauze and tape is allowed - you know that. Clearly it is now factual that something other than those two materials was found and confiscated.

Sorry, did I ever claim to be a millionaire? Not even once. I still live comfortably. How many years before you separate that distinction in your mind and move off the spin cycle?

I have suggested nothing. I am simply stating what all of us already know. The court of public opinion will be ruthless, and aspersions will be cast on his past fights. Whether you or I feel that is fair or right or just is immaterial. It's simply what will happen. That's the risk people take when they break the rules.

Solid post Divac. I'm pretty much with you on this, but if it was wetting the wraps, though not as bad as a plastern, if illegal it's still a huge offense because of the intent and Marg. and Co. should pay with the highest allowed penalty. There really should be some federal, or at least serious state oversight. Oh my God, that'd be socialism!

Divac, read the ****ing press release. It's NOT a formality to shut people up. It quotes the law that says that only gauze and tape are allowed, and it says that they found a foreign substance. They just don't know how severely they're going to punish him because the Department of Justice is still analyzing the foreign substance.

Exactly......they dont have a clue what the foreign substance is, or at least they're not telling us......

From what I understand what they found was a moistened harder than normal wrap on Margarito's fist area.....

According to Nazim Richardson himself when he made Trinidad re-wrap vs Hopkins.......Richardson did'nt find a hardened wrap on Trinidad, but he did say that the amount of gauze Trinidad used, and the way he wrapped Trinidad's fists, could harden and form a castlike fist.

I dont know if its true or not, but according to Richardson, the way you use the guaze and tape and the amount used can harden like a cast......and if thats the case, the only foreign substance that Margarito may have used was water.

.....how do you prove that Margarito's camps intentions were to harden the gauze by using just water????

See what I mean? Do you suspend Margarito for a prolonged period of time for using gauze, tape and water???

Surely in this situation the Margarito camp is going to defend themselves by saying that they had no idea that water could harden the wrap.

This is assuming that Richardson's accusations toward Trinidad and the hardening effects of the way he used the gauze and tape are true.
I dont know if it is or is'nt.

I think it's obvious that when people are giving their opinions they mean 'If found guilty'. I mean what, you expect everyone to start there statements with 'If found guilty....'

    Sigh......
