Don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but Margo's story is playing out like Chavez's.

Remember how Chavez put a similar beating on Rosario in the late 80's to catapult into stardome.

It was, in the sense that he burst into superstardom with that fight after toiling in relative obscurity. But because of the internet, Margo is much more well known to hardcore boxing fans that Chavez was. Back in those days, all we had to let us know about solid up and comers who were not well known were the boxing mags. And like today, they concentrated mainly on the HWs, and well-known fighters in the lower weight classes.

Chavez was a true ATG and extremely skilled fighter, I can't say the same for Margarito yet. I understand the comparison though.

    i see it.
    heres why...

chavez gave odl the chance to fight him...this not only propelled odl into stardom but in the fight he more or less passed him the torch.

if odl fights margo (in my opinion he will get destroyed...he wont beat margo) he would be passing a massive torch. It would be amazing for boxing, and to be honest, Oscar knows this

Your comparing the Oscar of now to the amazing 23 and 25 yr old dedicated athlete he once was? Oscar is more gone now than Chavez was when he lost to Oscar.. cmon now
