Margs couldn't have picked a more appropriate sparring partner, imo. Henry is a bigger, stronger, and faster version of Miguel. Some may recall that Team Pac unsuccessfully attempted to secure Henry's services in their preparation for Cotto. - Over at the place where fights get hyped
i watched some of his fights on youtube, he does have a resemblance to cotto but his defense seems much poorer, throws less jabs, body punches are wider....but since hes 11-0-9 ( i think?) he has a lot to earn....i personally dont think marg needs someone that mimics cotto that much because marg already knows cotto well
Just so it's clear, Henry's record is 11-0 (9KO's) not 9 draws. I agree about his lack of a jab which certainly is one of Cotto best weapons that he'll surely be utilizing come December 3rd. Where Margs will benefit most from his sessions with Henry is refamiliarizing himself Cotto's posture and footwork which Henry mimics almost to a t.
Cotto still goes into attack mode, perhaps not as frequent as he once did (which is more of Henry's style) but Margarito will still benefit from getting reaccustomed to Cotto posture when delivering his punches by sparring with Henry who can certainly emulate Miguel in that way.
