This fight reminds me of a welter version of Holy-Bowe. Tough fight to call.

dude what the hell are you ****ing talking about where not even talking about floyd , the Mayweather's method of training ,you brought floyd into this , you bashing floyd is not going to hurt my feeling.

In any case if Rodger's routine is so weak lets see you teach it to some 80 year old grandma and then post it hear on EBS if it so simple..

In any case everyone has there own method of training and no one's training is better then anyone else's but if you keep an open mind you just might learn something.

but in the cintron fight he got caught early and often , was hit with more punches then his team wanted him too, even in his fight with Clotty he was hit way too often .

In any case margarito had better have a healthy respect of williams power and I pretty sure he does or he wouldn't trained has hard as he has for this fight and has incorporated more head movement in his routine .

We saw different fights then, because I never saw Cintron actually hit Margarito flush but maybe once or twice over 5 rounds.

And even though Margarito was open to Clottey upstairs, he did a terrific job of protecting his body. That is something that won't soon be forgotten should Cotto and he meet in the winter.

Yeah I guess we did see a different fight , because I saw a lot of punches get through and then I saw a young fighter give up when his shots didn't have the desired effect that he wanted .

But I will agree with you on one thing , I do believe cotto come forward style is made for Margarito but we will have to see.
but if Floyd come out of retirement and fights Rick or if the deals fall through I doubt margarito will get his chance to fight fight cotto but may find himself in the back seat again to see if Arum can make a fight between Floyd and Cotto.

At this point, Roger can't teach Floyd anything new...the Mayweather mit work is to just make the punches second nature (to make them automatic). And he throws defense in there which is very smart. Those short little punches are also to get Floyd's body throwing the punches - so they are not arm punches. BTW, I don't like Floyd.

His routine on the mitts looks exactly like Mayweather's, but at a slower speed.

Margarito looks more impressive on the mits than Floyd but Areola looked lazy or maybe he just a little nervous

I think Mayweather's pad work is great but I don't use it much. I usually call out combinations and try to suprise the boxers, however you have to have a few varied combinations or the pad work is going to look like a train wreck with the fighter not having an idea of what might be coming next.
