According to ESPN's Dan Rafael the fight is a 50/50 fight, that everyone except Margo agreed on.

Oooh ok! I hope he fights somebody who is likewise reputable and could offer him more $$$ coz otherwise it will backfire on him.

If he fights somebody with less reputation than Mosley and Williams ang gets lower reward money.. his critics will have a field day bashing him:lol:

I like MARGARITO! I hope he makes the right decision

Good post:good. We tried to tell this to AM and Cotto fans about Floyd doing business and they spit in our face and called Floyd a coward lol. He has turned down 4 mil from Williams because he lost his petition to the WBO who found no wrong doing in the scoring of the Williams fight, and didn't want to give Williams a payday after he lost that petition. Margarito has now turned down 2 mil to fight Shane because he thinks he should make more.

You have no idea how much this fight is worth. You have no idea how much Mosley was getting. Hell, we don't even know how much Margo was getting. The $2 mill figure was never confirmed. I don't know how you can say your argument is common sense when you're not privy to the contract or how much HBO was putting up for the fight.

Margo on the other hand turned down williams for 4 mill , floyd did not turn down margarito , margarito was part of a three fight deal that could not be ironed out.

At the time Margarito called out floyd he had done absolutely nothing at 147 , floyd had made a name for himself beating the best at 130 , 135 that fact the Hatton nor cotto wanted to fight at 140 even further his claim as best p4p fighter , just like margarito has earned a right to pick and chose so did Floyd at the time, and if you really look at it floyd didn't turn down margarito it was business between floyd and Arum that kept the fight from happening.

No one is accusing him of being a coward , but Margarito is protecting his interest by Avoiding high risk low reward fights. you would be stupid to think that he is doing other wise.

Huh? Margo was supposedly willing to fight anyone, anywhere for pride. Mayweather was attacked relentlessly by Arum, Margo's people, and many of the posters in this thread for not fighting Margarito whether the eventual rewards he reaped from fighting DLH and Hatton justified his decision or not. How the **** do you spin that to make the people who are calling out Margo for his actions in light of his track record hypocrites? The Margo fans/anti-Mayweather crowd were the ones who claimed that avoiding a fight for financial reasons and making risk vs. reward determinations made Floyd a ***** regardless of the outcome. Now, they're defending Tony for looking to secure the greatest possible financial reward in the future by overlooking a fight that would guarantee his biggest payday against a shot fighter whom he initially claimed was a afraid of him. If that doesn't make Margo and his fanboys hypocrites, then you must have a pretty strange idea about what the actual definition of the word "hypocrisy" is.
