I dont think that Oscar would fight Margo unless he could be sure that he would get a Floyd or pac level paycheck. Im not sure that Margo beatting Shane would do that, being that beatting Cotto who beat Shane didnt do that for him. If Oscar fights after Pac it will be vs Floyd should he come out of retirement, Cotto should he pick up a belt, and dont leave out Pavlik at 160 which would give Oscar some big time ATG points to pick up the REAL middleweight title.

The fight with Cotto is already a DONE deal as they're both with Arum and he revealed that whoever both guys fight next, if they succeed of course a rematch is on sometime next year. Now that Mosley is off the table I wonder who Margarito will fight instead for more money than $2million, if Mosley offered him that much then who else in the division can offer him more for his next fight?

Goossen wasn't lying when he said that NO ONE out there will offer Margarito more than what he offered him to rematch someone he already LOST to.

Goossen's response was a very good one recently, surprisingly the Margarito fans didn't make a big fuss about it as they do for other links flying around.

Just add scene of boxing in the middle, if you know what I mean.

Tony has a right to refuse any fight or offer as long as his next fight is against a top opponent like Cotto or Williams. He has a right not to earn $2m. I wasn't much interested in this fight anyway. Bring on Cotto or Williams.

Cotto won't take an immediate rematch, that's suicide if you ask me. Arum's plan to give Cotto a tune-up is a perfect one, Margarito on the other hand is being too inactive and the Williams offer wasn't going to be there forever, they waited months for a response till they got a NO so they're going to move on as they should.

Fighters like Margarito and Andrade who don't rely on speed, precision or reactions don't need to stay active as much as other fighters. They just need to train hard and maintain their discipline in and out of the gym.

As long as Tony's next opponent is not worse than Mosley, I'm fine with that.

Margarito wants to make some money and he deserves to as all fighters do, however you need activity to do that especially when his name is red hot right now he needs to take advantage of it and sign fights. He already turned down two with Williams and Mosley. As Goossen already said and was straight out insulted by Margarito fans, he made it clear that Margarito WON'T fight more than the Williams offer fighting Mosley NOR Cotto in a rematch. Looks like he was right.

You would be fine with him fighting Mosley's ole lady as long as there is no shot of him losing:lol:

Me too but who else is there?, if Mosley is out and Cotto has to win a tune-up(well deserved after a major loss) then who else isn't worse than Mosley?

Williams is out of the question as they declined to fight him even after Williams and his team waited for months to get a response till they finally got it.

Berto?, Collazo?, Forbes?, no one else is really there and even two of the guys mentioned aren't better than Mosley, are already booked with fights and sure as hell WON'T offer more than $2million.

To be honest i'd just like to see him in the ring again, against quality fighters. The guy is entertainment personified but i wish he would take a damn offer, be it Williams, Mosley or Clottey.

I hope Margarito doesn't pull a JMM and fight for peanuts in somebody's backyard to "prove a point."
