According to Carson Jones' manager, Margarito-Jones if off due to Tony being denied a license to fight in Texas. He says Top Rank assured him Margarito would be licensed so they turned down a Showtime spot only to have this fight fall through.

I know Top Rank had already talked about moving the fight to Mexico, but this is the first I've heard of Margarito actually being denied a Texas license.

Well what the hell did Arum expect. The ABC basically told Texas not to liscence the guy. Also Arum is the only guy, next to MAragrito and his lawyer, that want to ever see this guy fight again so again what the **** did he expect.

He should be out for five years. I am happy and I am mexican and I used to like him for the way he fights, he was slow and not the best but his fights were entertaining. Fook margarito

How the hell could you like him? Please don't tell me you're one of the few people who believe not only the CSAC, but the Department of Justice as well is out to ruin/make an example out of Margarito...:bart

You and UliUli sharing the same bed now? :-(

Him whippin Cotto's ass was good enough for me. :D And I seriously don't think he was plastered at the time. That fight was in Nevada, and they not only provide wraps, they videotape all wrapping sessions as well.

If that was the case, wouldn't the NSAC have killed all of the suspicion about that fight with a video of the handwrapping?

I was very happy when he whooped Cotto's ass but he should not be license for a while. Its all controversy depends on how you look at it but if he was loading up his hands on you, you would think different

The only guy I feel bad for is Carson Jones. It was a big opportunity for him.

Shut up n1gga...You even had the audacity to try and pick up Puertorican women after that fight.

Still though - it's not about that fight, it's the fact that had it not been for Nazim, Margarito would've used the illegal wraps that night against Mosley. Also, sure Nevada might provide their own wraps and video tape the process but someone from CSAC has to watch and sign off the wrapping process as well. They failed to catch the illegal wraps. If one commission fails, what stops the others from doing the same?

Question - How come the Nevada tapes aren't released? Is it because no one ever filed a lawsuit or whatever against NSAC? Or at least accused them...
