Margarito WOULD beat PBF at 147. Although many people on here have said Margo's style is tailor-made for PBF to box rings around him, that may be so for a couple of rounds, maybe even a bit more, but Margarito is too big and too adept at cutting off the ring and closing it off for PBF to be able to dance and box throughout the final, exhausting rounds. Margarito should fight like De La Hoya did v Mayweather, but the difference would be that Margo's superior punching power and bodypunching, superior chin, and (relative to DLH) youth, freshness and stamina, would see him stop PBF. Imagine Floyd trying to lie on the ropes and deflect the thousands of wicked punches Margarito would throw? There's no way Floyd could win that fight. And I think Floyd knows Margo would be too big and too powerful. He won't risk it. Please vote and discuss...
Cotto won the first 5 rounds of the fight. I had him up 7-3 at the time of the stoppage. How he **** do you figure a guy like Cotto could outbox Margarito and Floyd couldnt? The reason Cotto lost was because he got tired. Mayweather doesnt get tired. Cotto has a weak chin. Mayweather has never been hurt. Mayweather easy UD.
PBF wide UD..the only reason cotto lost was because he gassed and he didnt tie marg up on the inside. Lets not forget that cotto was outboxing marg easy when he had the energy early in the fight. His stamina failed him badly
Mayweather is retired. Margarito. Floyd still needs to fight Cotto. (He can't chicken out of that fight that easy)
I say Mayweather wins by Points, Margarito would of lossed SD to a Cotto with a more solid chin. Mayweather is a Boxer that could Score points without the hassle of worrying about his chin.
Floyd would win. He's a better boxer than either fighter, and unlike Cotto, he knows his strengths fully, and Margarito's not going to be tiring him out or damaging him, as he won't be landing nearly as cleanly. Floyd would cruise to a points win, though Margo would take some rounds based on pure aggression.
