Margo is too rugged to beat floyd, I love his style, its just not enough to get the W for him in this matchup
The reason that Mayweather had problems with Hatton was that had fast feet. So he could close the gap. Margo does not. He has poor defence and would get smacked up the pipe with nearly everything Mayweather threw.
Mayweather easy UD- could possibly be 120-108, but i imagine Floyd will give a couple of rounds away due to workrate.
Mayweather by lopsided UD or potential stoppage on cuts or accumulation of punishment. I think that it would be very easy for Floyd to hit Margarito and it would be very hard for Margarito to find a target ... the fact that he comes straight forward and is a stand up fighter (who is alot slower than Mayweather and has no defense) is going to turn him into a human punching bag during the latter rounds. On top of that Margarito cuts very easily ... he cut against Cintron ... if he cuts against Floyd then he's as good as stopped. Floyd is also an underrated body puncher and would focus on the body - especially since Margarito has a few inches on him and his body would be there for the taking - given Mayweather's low center of gravity.
I'll give this one to mayweather by decision, but it would be perhaps one of mayweathers toughest fights in my opinion, Margaritos height, chin, workrate, would give anyone trouble and a long night...
Mayweather by Decision in most difficult fight of his career. If he even blinks, he might get stopped in this fight.
PBF by wide UD The thing is Margo is good against people who stand infront of him and people who can't take his punch. Any fighter with good movement can counter-punch and take a punch will beat him rather easily. Margo has to set his feet in order to throw and against someone with movement he'll have to constantly reset it will fustrate him while the other guy is scoring and moving around the ring. A good counter-puncher will also take advantage of his wide slow shots easily. PBF would stick and move on Margo all night long because he can't cut off a ring to save his life and he has poor defense. He would get beaten to the punch all night and countered to hell and back. PBF would make Margo look like a limited plodder and win by wide UD and after the fight everyone would say why in the hell did this guy get so much hype he was schooled.
Mayweather by UD in a tough challenging fight, though if Mayweather blinks I doubt it'll be a big issue considering Margarito's speed so he won't really have to worry about that. Also Margarito's power is extremely overrated so I don't really see how a few fools would think 1 punch could be over for Mayweather who was able to take shots from a bigger and stronger(hits far harder than Margarito, IMO) DLH flush on the chin in his first fight at Light Middle.
