Are you sure you read it? Have another read...

(This thread has nothing to do with the false accusations surrounding Pacquiao...and they will remain false accusations unless he tests positive.)

I'm sure they can find a way...but I'm no expert on the matter.

If they applied the testing Mayweather and Mosley went through to the Margarito Pacquiao bout...would this benefit Pacquiao? Thats what I'm asking...

Shane Mosley was riding dirty for years and never failed a drug test.:deal Why? Because he was on that good **** the clear and the cream, the best PEDs that money could buy.

drug testing was just a ploy by floyd from the very beginning. he just doesn't want to fight pacquiao period. pac could agree to testing every round and floyd would pull other excuses next time like split or he's on a one fight a year mode.

STFU ***** you know nothing *******. You act as if better testing is bad especially in the steroid era of sports that we now live in. Lance Armstrong was presumed innocent as well but is under investigation by the FEDS as we speak for doping.:deal This is the steroid era and the sport needs better testing more and more boxers are starting to realize this as well(PBF, JMM, Cotto and others) and the only people who seem dead set against is Pac and irrational *******s like yourself who couldn't careless about the sport as a whole only one fighter.

But would it benefit Pacquiao if he were to go through the same testing Mayweather is asking for in the Margarito bout? Would it put Pacquiao in the position to accept almost any demands concerning drug testing Mayweather can throw at him? Knowing he can go through a training camp and bout without feeling weak, etc...

Maybe and maybe not.. If Pac takes a random blood test and beats the hell out of AM, a lot of people will say that was expected because AM is past his prime. Damned if Pac does the blood test and damned if he doesn't.

If Pac actually insists in implementing the program I'd give him a ton of credit and benefit of the doubt if he passes, which I assume he would if he were to go through it. But...I have a sneaky suspicion Pac is happy to avoid the tests just as Floyd is content with avoiding another fight later this year.

yes and no. pac would not be forced to simulate the conditions of full random testing because frankly, there is no guarantee that floyd will fight him next. though it would be good on pac's part, he would just have to wait if floyd would be man enough next year. besides, there is no guarantee that pac would not retire after this year also.

floyd and pac would be just two fighters. it would be much better to bring this up to the comissions and not fighters themselves. besides there is no formal study yet on which is the proper (not necessarily best) way to implement testing in boxing. for all we know, these olympic style testing might be an overkill.

Lmaooo cotto and JMM both loss to pacquiao. JMM loss to him in the lower weight class way before this steroids BS ever came up. Stop acting like floyd is trying to clean up the sports when the only reason he ask for OSDT is cuz he wants no part of pacquiao.

where is he at now? on vacation and he could careless about the testing. If the boxing commission wants to change the testing then so be it. But don't act like you're trying to clean up the sports just cuz he wants no part of the pacman.

If you are so concern about this drug testing then why haven't i'd seen you make a thread about this before the pac-mayweather fiasco started? Just face it, you're only agreeing with this new testing cuz of your boy. :hi:

To be honest, I think he would get more positive feedback, than negative feedback (no...not from the drug tests :D). It will prove he isn't cheating (the damage has been done, whether it was Mayweather's camp making it up or not), and it will put them in a position when they sit down with Mayweather's camp to negotiate were they can pretty much accept anythig demanded of them...knowing they've been through it before, assuming it didn't effect Pacquiao.

I say if it's not illegal then it's fair game. I could ask fighters to wear pirate hats to the ring if it was legal. Formal study or not, stipulations are part of negotiating. I don't like them and if it was up to me I'd eliminate them. But don't blame the fighters for taking advantage in exercising their rights.
