Not interested...I want a Cotto-Margo rematch SO bad. If, of course, Cotto beats Foreman. Margo probably can't make 147 anymore anyway.

 

No he's not. That's one of the main criticisms against Andre Berto. The man hasn't improved much since becoming a contender and it's shown through in fights where he's struggled and been hurt.

If Margarito is anywhere near as good as he was before the loss to Mosley then he steamrolls right past Berto as do most of the other top welterweights out there.

The first rounds would be interesting and I think Berto would beat Margarito to the punch, but Berto's more of a one punch type bomber and really that's all he needs sometimes, but against Margarito he would have to have a sustained attack. He hasn't thrown that overhand right followed with an uppercut in awhile.

The other weakness for Berto would be that he likes to stand in front of his opponents and despite his smaller size he fights like a pitbull and imposes his speed and power, almost like a mini tyson, but without the defense. Margo is not a one punch ko artist, but if he took Mosley's best shots for the majority of the fight, chances are he's going to take Berto's and the question will be can Berto take Margarito's pressure? I'm not sure about this fight, but I might give a slight edge to Berto, but I would have to see more from Margarito to come to a conclusion.

 

Even a weight drained Margo (147 again?) makes Berto his *****.
