Margarito vs Cotto - HD Highlights

It was a great fight and I think some people forget that because of the whole "gloves fiasco". I give Margarito credit for beating my man Cotto he just was the tougher,more durable fighter that night.

 

if he didn't have loaded gloves cotto would have beat the **** out of him.

 

what an absolute war that was, and was it not for the controversy it would be one of the best fights in modern times.

i would love to believe that margo didnt wrap up vs cotto, and i would love to believe it was all his trainers plan vs mosley. for the sake of boxing margos innocence would be a great thing.

sadly i do not believe him to be innocent.

that being said, i remember watching that fight live, and the emotional rollercoaster can not be changed by controversy.

 

He possibly did have loaded gloves but still much credit to Tony's chin. I think his chin won him the fight more than anything but I wouldn't be surprised if he loaded up before facing Cotto but I hope he didn't.

 

Yep, til the end. I was so happy to see him pick up the W on June 5th even if it was again Yuri of all people. Still, Yuri was a warrior too and was fighting on even through that leg injury.

 

Cotto was outboxing the hell out of Margarito. He would have won if it wasn't for that ****. Most boxing writers had Cotto by one round before he took a knee.

But Cotto will always be one of my all time favorite fighters. That kid had balls the size of the Titanic. It sucked seeing him weak during the Margarito fight. Sucked big time.

 

Yeah, Marg has a great chin but if it wasn't for the gloves he would have lost a close decision. He was getting outboxed until half way through the fight. Cotto tires but he would have have more energy until the 8th round or so and Margarito would not have won with 4 rounds.

 

If u watch it Margs punches didn't even have that much pop, but look at Cottos face. And Cotto was not a fighter known to swell, and Cotto is a bigger puncher than Margarito.

 

Classic fight. I dont think theres going to be a rematch after Margarito beat the **** out of him.

The fight was still a classic. A rematch is the only way to settle this.

 

Yeah it was and if you ever noticed I hardly ever comment on the Margarito hand-wrap scandal and just never made my opinion on it known.

Remember when I made a thread on how Mexicans contradicted themselves on the Margarito hand-wrap issue cause of how accusatory they were towards Trinidad and you even agreed with me.

 

I think it was a great fight. Just feel bad that Cotto will probably not be the same after the fight.

Can someone post on Juanma's trainers? Curious about what people know or think.
