Margarito vs. Cotto II (will happen)

No doubt.. Margarito didn't get nearly as beat up as Cotto did last summer. His skin wasn't even cut nor was he streaming blood from the mouth. He got buzzed by a good shot and couldn't recover. Cotto took a slow pounding over the last half and was running for his life. Took two knees and had the fight stopped by ref and his corner.

Accumilation got Cotto and it probably will once again.

 

In regard to the question of 'will Cotto go to the body this time?'

There was a lot of pondering after the first fight why he didn't go to the body; when asked about it Cotto said that he couldn't and that there were no openings.

So, for what reason couldn't he? Will it be any different the 2nd fight?

I'm not really sure I want to see this fight to be honest, the amount of brutal punches Margarito took against Mosley was uncomfortable to watch at times. If it's going to happen I definitely think Margarito should take a tune up first, although obviously this won't happen.

 

I'm sticking with my Cotto UD pick.

 

alot of people have seen how sugar did it and they are thinking it is easy but it is not that

but cotto has recieved the gift from shane, if he follows the gameplan well, i think he could take this fight into a shutout 12 round decision we all know he has the boxing ability (stay infornt within range and stay busy)
cotto has better stamina then shane and could keep this up for 12 at a high pace
and i do not think he has enough power to dispose of margo because no matter what we call him, that dude has an iron chin

 

Not sure he has better stamina than shane, he's got tired in later rounds during a few fights.

and will Margo still have an iron chin?

Margarito by stoppage, unless he is done.

Stylewise he has Cotto's number on speed dial.

Cotto UD or possible late stoppage. We don't know if Margo cheated the first time, if he did he won't be able to the second time around. So I think Cotto even with his shaky chin will be able to take Margo's punches. He still must clinch though, and his stamina problems bother me. With that said, I think Cotto gets his revenge. WAR COTTO!!

Hopefully Cotto goes to the body. He did say that he couldnt find the openings but im guessing he will come with a good gameplan June 13.

 

I like Cotto because I think he'll choose to box a little more in this fight...Last fight he traded to much!

 

Yup. Afterall he is the best body puncher in the game, and the body work Shane used was very crucial in his stoppage of Margo.

 

Cotto helped Mosley to beat Margo by taking what worked. Mosley has helped Cotto in the same manner. Cotto by UD.

Cotto would throw then retreat and reset. If he keeps moving and turning, I say Cotto has this!
