You're so freakin biased!! it's hillarious.

Margarito did just fine, he need not improve much really, if anything he might start a little faster knowing he can take cotto's best shots. Starting faster means he'll KO Cotto faster.

You didn't see Margarito starting to fatigue? ... you didn't see Margarito's face starting to show wear as the fight went on? ... you diddn't see Margarito reacting to the punches that Cotto was throwin as the fight went on?

If it weren't for the broken nose - who knows how the fight wouldve turned out ... Cotto's nose was broken after the first round ... and he was uncomfortable with his breathing ...

Take a look at that fight again ... it wasn't all that one sided --

THats fine I take my lumps, I don't hide....Why though have you ignored my post? WHy not be subjective and understand that it is infact a good gameplan? Please realize that Margo IS mortal and can be beaten...Williams and Santos proved this quite well....and to me Cotto is every bit as good as those two...he just didnt have the right gameplan.....Williams had one similar to the one I outlined....Please try to read and understand posts before merely spouting childishness:good

Stop pretending Uli...youre a good poster. Why resort to bias or ignorance here? What I've presented as a good point you merely ignore.....Cotto is a great fighter and CAN beat Margarito with the proper gameplan. I've told you how...that doesnt mean I'm asking him to be SRL...be subjective here...Juan Diaz did the same thing to Katsidis......Cotto needs to believe in himself you could clearly tell around the 6th round Cotto was discouraged, which ultimately led to his demise

    1. In Cotto's words fatigue was due to "Excessive Training"
    2. Sour relations with his trainer enabled this to occur.
    3. Relations with trainer have been resolved.
    4. Cotto will keep the fight in the center of the ring.
    5. Cotto will back Margie up.(in your minds an impossibility)
    6. Cotto will neutralize the uppercuts
    7. Cotto will damage Margie's body early and often.
    8. Cotto's stamina will be of no issue.
    9. Odds are his nose won't break in the same place.
    10. Close rounds will go in his favor in MSG as they went in Margie's
in Las Vegas with all the Mexicans yelling at missed punches more
as if they were as effacacious as Cotto's headripping blows.
    11. Margie can't change his style.
    12. He is endowed with rocks for a brain and can take a mule's punch
this time it will be his downfall.
    13. Margie thinks he will make quick work...that will be another downfall.
There may be with good reason some doubt on Cotto's triumph
    in the rematch.

Cotto will win and Margie will feel it for weeks afterwards.

Cotto CAN beat Margo, but I doubt he will.

I think he exerted too much energy throwing combinations when he could have stuck and moved more.

Hard to teach a warrior like Cotto new tricks.

    Time will tell.

    Margarito wins by AGGRAVATED ASSAULT!

You guys can over-analyze all you want, but Margo is going to kick his ass to sleep again! Worse this time. All the mountain-running, readjusing, and refocusing in the world ain't gonna stop this train!

Margo TKO in 7, like it should have been last time.

    that's too simplified.

boxing carries too many variables and you'd have got more credibility by being impartial - but you're showing an allegiance, thats all.

but for me point 11 is the most significant.

both fighters love to fight and neither are particularly adaptable.

they are both, and have been throughout their careers, fighters you have to stop.

the reason why this fight was always going to be a ******* is because they both want to fight, they are both carved out of wood, and they dare anyone to stop them.

the reason why this loss is so damaging to the fighter who lost is that it challenges them to come back and defeat a fighter who legitimately grinded them down when both fighters are notorious for that same trait.

there's nothing wrong with being carved out of wood like that, but it's very damaging for any boxer-fighter who's (successful) career has been built on doing that same thing.

mentally, i promise you that loss was damaging to cotto.

Cotto said that going to the body in the first fight wasn't an option, he said it wasn't there.

I wonder how that's going to change?

    I can't help it....we're friends.
According to his camp it will be a different night with Cotto in a triumphant win.
Cotto has not lost any confidence whatsoever....trust me on this!!!!

Cotto by SD... This time he will be on his bicycle the whole time and not let his pride take hold of him... He will not stand and trade with Margo this time. He will do his best Mayweather impression...

I am not an expert but I do know when someone gets good at something their are alot of things they know and do that most people would not see. Cotto wasn't going to the body because of something that Margarito was doing. Since I have never been in the ring I can only guess. Mental toughness is also a huge factor. I thing Margarito has more skills and knows more about boxing than most people realize.
But we are all human and we all have our flaws. I think Margo has Cotto's number.
