This fight has all the factors to be one for the ages, potential fight of the Year, and probably should challenge Castillo v Corrales I as fight of the decade!!

I see both fighter absorbing great amount of punishment from each other, perhaps several KD's on each other...and a fight that perhapes will not need a Ref....

The methodical Cotto vs. the macho bravado of Margarito, something will give....I see Cotto needing to study the first 4 rounds of the Clottey fight, as a good example on how to keep Margarito off balance...for Margarito I study the Torrez fight on how Torrez countered Cotto on his attack, now sure Cotto is a different fighter that fought Torrez, far stronger..Margarito, is a different fighter also, comming stronger from mthe get got...

But with potential advise from Daniel Santos who probably fought Margarito as tough as anyone has for advise....I anticipate that Margarito long torso will be amayor target for Cotto left hook and and right crosses..perhaps we shall see some noticeable redness on both sides of the rib cage on Margo and perhaps Cotto bleading proficiently from his mouth, or perhaps an open Cotto above Cotto eyes....The Kelso Pinto fight should also be a good measuring stick for Cotto on this fight....

At the end of the night I see Cotto, over power Margo as he sucumb to the body attack from Cotto...Regardless this will be painful fight for both and battle of wills..who will break who first....if at all!!

Cotto by TKO late 10 or 11

great post orishaman, and even though i definitly think theres a chance Cotto stops Margo, i think 2 many people are predicting a latetko for Cotto, when the truth to me seems that chances are higher for Margarito to knock out Cotto... but dont misunderstand me, i think Cotto's chances of wining are higher, i just think Margo's strenght will take him the distance in a rough fight. I say this because the most likely scenario to me is a rougged tough match, that gives the physical advantage to Margarito, but Cottos skills get him the win in such a tough fight. The other scenario, which i bielieve is possible but not as likely is that Cotto completely dominates Margo in a still tough match, but is landing so frequently that he is able to get the stoppage. Having this said, i would like to be clear that by no means i'm counting Margo out...

Don't really think Cotto will allow Margarito to land a lot because we know what could happen if he does and Cotto knows it as well. Cotto by UD is my pick, a TKO isn't impossible either but unlikely.

:bart Cotto will be stopped. he is not that good of a boxer to dance for 12 rounds. At some point he will have to bang, And at that point we will see his chin fold when he gets hit by a TRUE welterweight.

If Cotto gets baited into a brawl - I don't see him getting a chance to recover or get any room to breathe. There's no way that Margarito will punch himself out or let up the pressure once he sees that he has an advantage.

If Cotto boxes then I give him the nod by decision ...

If Cotto elects to brawl ... I see this fight ending early ...

If Cotto fights on the inside, I see this fight ending early ...

Cotto has all the advantages - its just a matter if he would use them or will he fall victim.

I told it too my freind the other day regardless of who wins. Cotto will be bleeding out his mouth while being stunned a time or 2 possibly being dropped. Margaritos face might look like handburger beat with a eye ready to pop out. This is going to violent and im actually going to order it **** DLH-FRaud 2.

It is clear that the PBF fans want Cotto to lose...the reality is tht this is a tough fight but one that Cotto will win...example:

As I mentioned on the original thread, lets examine Margo v Clottey first 4 rounds..Clottey is not as strong as Cotto, is not as good as a boxer as Cotto as doesn't hit as hard as Cotto and up to the broken hand he was dominating Margo and beating him to the punch....if Cotto will connect at that rate and % Margo will be in huge trouble ..and early....

Les exmaine Cotto v Pinto...similar body type as Mrgo, shorter thou, and similar styles...Cotto demolish Pinto en no time...

Cotto will not be intimidated not will succumb to Mrog's pressure..he already been there and done that..and came victorious...

Margo had problems with short stickt guys that give him lots of movements...

Lets examine DANIEL santo v Margo, the man that probably ahs fought Margo as tough as anybody..he stay with Margo giving pressure to pressure..Cotto will barrow from thatn strategy

I think it will be entertaining but far from fight of the decade (which none of the Corrales-Castillo fights currently are, having all been surpassed by the Vazquez-Marquez trilogy).

Cotto will probably get himself hurt a couple of times. Margarito will definitely get hurt. :yep

I don't think it's going to be the best fight of the decade. I think Cotto is going to win a pretty wide decision with being hurt a few times in the fight.
