I will start this off by saying this.....to be honest, i have NEVER seen a boxer since duran take that much punishment and keep coming, honestly...it was unreal...and i was pulling for cotto.

The way cotto was moving tonight was slicker than I have seen him move in 98% of his fights. He was bobbing, weaving, and straight up blocking margs shots............for the first 6 rounds. But then you saw margarito progress into an absolute animal. Cottos counter punching could no longer save him as the rounds went on. It was honestly amazing to watch. The TKO was not that cotto could not box anymore, and i truely had it an even fight up until it was finished, but margaritos pressure (constant at that) was unbelievable. The guys jaw is granite. But event more so than that...his heart is bigger than a lions.

I have always thought up until this that margarito was kind of an esb hype job (this might have been due to me being a cotto fan and it was more of a security blanket for me to say this to myself to give myself insurance that cotto would beat him) but after tonight, I have never been to sure of myself to say this:

    MARGARITO WILL BEAT FLOYD.

His constant pressure is better than anyones I have ever seen. He can take the absolute hardest shot given to him and keep going (the problem with hatton was, he couldnt). He can cut corners like no one I have ever seen. And he can deal with the defence in front of him.

If you think for two seconds that the HBO commentators are right about saying "cotto didnt want to be in the ring after the 7th" your wrong. Cotto never gave up, he just couldnt find a way to win. All props to cotto, and i hope to god there is a rematch, because i truely have not enjoyed a boxing match like that in years. But my lord he will have to rethink his plan if he does.

    ---------------
    Bottom line.
    ---------------

If floyd ever wants to come back, the man he will have to come back to fight is margarito. And if he does, he needs to be sharp, he needs unreal power, and he needs to realise that this man will not stop until he his six feet under. Margarito can beat floyd.....we just have to wait to see if he is ever given the chance.

AMAZING FIGHT TONIGHT, all boxing fans (cotto or marg) should rejoice...this fight brought in fans....and was awesome to watch.

    The End.

Margarito is too one-dimensional and slow.

But congrats to him for this great win that I didn't expect.

I'm honestly not sure who I think would win a contest between Margarito and Mayweather, but I do not think Floyd needs to beat Antonio, because I suspect Margarito will lose before the prospects became a reality.

I think floyd beats margo... he is slicker, faster and more accurate than cotto.

the problem is he doesn't have the balls...

Floyd's hand problems will probably keep him from fighting Margarito. Knowing that you can't even keep your man honest at ALL will keep Floyd's offfense at a minimum, mostly defensive. I can still see Floyd outboxing Margo and making him look like **** in the process, although it would take the best of his efforts. He would also have to endure alot of punishment. Remember, Margo would not be able to connect flush on Floyd almost at all, unless he gets a lucky overhand right in, otherwise he will be outclassed. But Margo did prove that he is a ****ing storm so lets see Floyd's next move.

    Son , YOU'RE WRONG.
You saw tonight WHY Floyd ducked Margarito
I honestly feel that Margarito would stop Delahoya, something Floyd could not do.
I also feel that Oscar won the fight with Floyd.
Bottom line : Floyd won't fight him and if he does, he will run his ass off until the end of the fight. He'll run his way right to a loss.

They said the same thing about Cotto.
    And look what happened.
    Think about it.

    No ****ing way!

Floyd probably won't fight him, but even if he did, I'm not so sure Margarito would beat him. Would love to see Margo stop Floyd, but that would be a difficult task, methinks.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. NOBODY gets into a fight with Margarito and gets out unscathed. Nobody. Floyd is no exception to that rule.

What is he going to do? Run all night? He won't win another decision running all night. You can bank on that.

Cotto did his damnest to win but Margarito was smart. He threw enough to the body to offset what missed upstairs. And for every one of those blocked uppercuts Cotto was feeling a bit of the leftover. Just because it's blocked doesn't mean it didn't hurt.

i think floyd can win but it would be a super boring fight in a substantial line of boring fights for floyd. floyd can only beat margo by pot shots and holding and that is not viewer friendly. i wouldn't hold it against floyd for fighting in this style as that is who he is, but then i dont feel floyd has always fought the worthiest challenger to his title so i don't expect him to change his stripes.

I'm not a Floyd hater, but his entire career is NOT a testament to his balls.

That would better describe Cotto and Margarito's careers, but not Floyd's.

His stamina failed him because he was getting pressured relentlessly.

I had it even going into the 11th.

COtto is a well conditioned fighter. His stamina didn't fail him, Margarito took it from him.

Some of you have a hard time giving credit where it's due:-(
