Pac is exceptional...Hatton is not. Hatton got KNOCKED OUT by Mayweather! Let me see if I can explain the differences here: Pac/ Hatton-Pac has won titles over a ton of divisions, is very fast, skilled, and if worse comes to worse he's a quick runner . Hatton is a beat em up brawler. De la Hoya/ Marg-De la Hoya doesn't have a ton of power, has decent speed (kind of getting old though the way he looked last fight), has lost recently. Margo on the other hand is a beat em up brawler like Hatton is, just with more size, more endurance, more skill, and a chin that could take whacks from a baseball bat!!! Also, Marg has the confidence on his side now, and hasn't lost since PW, and before that...I don't even know the last time he lost. Hatton doesn't have the confidence either. Marg will seriously KILL this guy! You want to see it because they have similar styles??? Anybody at the 147 division that has a similar style as Marg is the worst possible thing....Because I'd bet they aren't as big, and there chin isn't made of iron man steel. SO, he runs over top of anybody that comes at him. If somebody were to be able to box him for 12 rounds might get a decision. I don't see anybody knocking him out. Maybe since Paul Williams has shown he can sit down on his punches he may be able to do it.
Margarito vs Hatton makes no sense at all, it would be a mismatch in which Hatton takes the biggest beating in his life.
Hatton is probably a lightweight rather than lightwelter, point accepted. But crispy duck and beer does that to you
Hatton can't outmuscle AM. He would get clobbered. If Cotto's boxing skills didn't work I doubt Hatton could do the same.
I'd pay to see it just to see the size difference at the weigh-in. Plus you know it will end in a knockout because of their clashing styles so the fans will definitely get their money's worth. The funny thing is this fight may have actually happened had Hatton pulled off the miracle and beaten Floyd.
Hatton is a LWW. This isn't far off saying Margo V Pavlik. Margo would be obliterated. Hatton has no business at 147, and certainly not against the real big guys there like Margo.
If this is a serious thread it confirms that there are some posters who know absolutely nothing about boxing. If this lasted 6 rounds it would be a f--king miracle. This would be like a father beating his son. Hatton is a pressure fighter. Can you imagine him trying to pressure Margo? WTF? He couldn't even dent Margo. We just saw a bigger puncher in Cotto doing almost no discernible damage. This is how this mythical fight would go. Margo stands about 5 inches or more taller than little Fatton. The fact that Hatton takes the fight believes he can actually win it. Fatton and Margo, both pressure fighters meet in the middle of the ring and after a very short period of feeling each other out with some jabs and movement, they start to throw longer and wider punches. Hatton is trying to get on the inside given his huge reach disadvantage. As Hatton lands a body shot and Margo smiles he realises he is going to have trouble hurting this guy. Margo lands a straight right into Hatton walking straight into the punch and Hatton feels power that he may not have felt before, possibly reminding him of the biggest punches he took against Urango and Tszyu. Every time Hatton tries to close the distance he can fire off one or two body shots but tastes serious power from hooks and uppercuts. He must realise that his only chance is to try to KO this guy early because he won't be able to take 12 rounds of punishment. Within two rounds his face, which is known to cut very easily, looks like pulp. Hatton is one tough SOB but as he gets ground down, he leaves himself open to bigger and harder shots. Hatton wakes up in hospital and says: "WTF hapened? Did I win?"
The worlds greatest midget wrestler vs arguably the most dangerous welterweight in the worldatsch And the hits just keep on comin'!
