Margarito vs Jones - Disgrace

So that fight was in Mexico against a famous Mexican fighter trying to make a comeback and Jones signed up for it anyways and then goes in head-butting in a Ward fashion to make matters worse?

Personal opinion:

I recently watched the fight in Spanish, [which I speak and understand] because my YouTube search kept directing me there. As usual was I was confronted with this constant wall of seemingly-interminable, hysterically-exaggerated blabbering which made viewing the fight an ordeal since most of it involves describing what is already very obvious to the viewer.

Why it is presented in that way beats me since basic courses in public speaking teach that we should pause once in a whle for various rhetorically essential reasons such as:

1. Emphasis
2. Understandability or clarity
3. A brief respite for the mind to ponder what has been said.

Unfortunately this isn't the case when Mexican commentators are in charge. They seem to believe that every-single moment of a bout needs to be infused with constant chatter. It's as if they fancy themselves involved in some frenetic verbal tag-team contest to see which one can most rapidly flap his tongue in an exaggerated, loud, emotionally-charged manner.

While one is blabbering away machine-gun fashion, the other waits nervously on the sidelines like an Indianapolis 500 driver at the starting position, fingers nervously on the lingual throttle-up control of his hyper nervous motor-mouth, or calmly recharging his palavering batteries in order to frenetically jump in to make certain there is never the slightest indication of a pause!

YIKES!

Also, what the hell do they mean by saying that a fighters are getting hit in their humanity?

As opposed to getting hit where else?

In their non-humanity?

Strange!

 

Tony needs to walk away before they have to cart him out of the ring. His past fights were always exciting to me but clearly he has lost too many steps to pursue any top 20 guys without risking his life IMO

 

It was a terrible fight and a terrible outcome.

Margarito has nothing left; he looked awful; just like in his previous fight.

I don't blame the likes of Margarito trying to make some money before he really does get too old, but this comeback is going nowhere.

 

People close to him, such as best friends and maybe even family, who are deriving monetary profit from his refusal or inability to face reality aren't going to feel too keen on dissuading him, of course. They will probably find some seemingly rational reason to justify his behavior and lend him wholehearted support to assist him in making his dreams a reality.

Margarito won the first few rounds. After a while Carson started hitting him from the outside and Margo was getting smacked around. This whole fight was pretty bad to watch. It reminded me of seeing Master division amateurs fighting. F him. F his life. Hes a loser. His whole career has gone down the drain like it should be. Hes a cheating sack of **** and deserves nothing else.

Cotto isn't going to fight this clown. Cotto would be doing him a favor if he did so. Margo knows Cotto is he only way hes ever getting another major money fight before he gets knocked the **** out. That I think he desperately needs after his bad ass wife divorced him cuz she couldn't even stand how much of a cheater he is.

 

He was getting battered by Jones so they pulled him out and awarded him the winner. Thats really all there is to it.
I thought Jones looked shot to bits as well. If he fights Cotto he's going home in a body bag.

 

What really gets me about such shenanigans is when the crowd supporting the favored fighter cheers such ridiculously obvious biased decisions.

BTW
I was in a street fight once where an audience member distracted me so that the dude I was fighting could sucker punch me. When the ruse succeeded they were all cheering as if he had done something marvelously great and began raising his hand in victory.

What a bunch of pathetically-miserable, scumbag clowns!
