Margarito vs. Maidana

Is this pre or post loaded gloves?

Because if it's the Margarito from the Mosley fight or onward, he legit gets stopped. And I don't think Maidana is a total God or anything, either.

And if it's the Margarito fight from before Mosley, we just don't know. If we take him at face value, I'll pick a draw at best for Margarito. Maidana would own the early rounds but would gas and Margarito would equally take the later rounds. This is considering Maidana as the late 2012 through present WW, Robert Garcia-trained Maidana.

But let us look at what we do know prime for prime.

Margarito, concrete or no concrete in his gloves, had an iron chin and and incredible stamina.

Maidana, has a good chin but has been rocked (body and head) several times and clearly gasses.

Why would Maidana take the first few rounds? They both try and apply pressure from the first bell to the end. They would come out and meet in the middle. Margarito has a notable size and strength advantage.

What exactly does Maidana have to trouble Margarito?

 

I just don't feel he matches up well with Maidana like you seem to, or half as well with any fighter as most of the public feel. I don't need to apologize or justify that.

 

Dude. I don't want you to apologise. But i would appreciate a justification. I don't care if your opinion differs to mine as long as you justify it with a boxing explanation. I like to talk boxing. Maybe i am wrong.

Margarito Knocks him out in my opinion big size advantage amazing chin amazing stamina also hits hard enough to hurt Maidana to the head an the body an throws lots of punches. Maidana hits hard but not hard enough to knock out Magarito an he also gasses.

 

Maidana simply isn't that good! He is a crude punching, crude plodding, no defense having guy. He is smaller than Margarito, and also has a soft body. While Margarito is similarly crude, with bad punching technique and no footwork or defense, he is bigger than Maidana in stature, and has more reach, to go along with a good chin and great stamina. Margarito by KO or TKO inside 8 rounds.

 

Margarito destroys him.

 

Actually, although Margo is crude, he does not have bad punching technique. Similar to Rios who also throws good, short punches but is crude overall because he has no defense.

 

Margarito would beat down and knock out Maidana.

Lets not get carried away with Maidana, the dude is still pretty much a crude slugger that any world class boxer with footwork would handle fairly easily.
