Margarito vs Mayweather

If I have to tell the numerous ways Mayweather or any other fighter could hit a fighter with a punch they didn't see, then you need to go watch more tapes.

Of how he will hurt him? Easy, he doesn't see it or know it's coming.

I'm just going to throw a quick example out there before I have to leave.


A fighter that jabs and doesn't always throw something behind his jab. Later into a fight that can confuse a fighter if he's being jabbed pretty good. Like Pavlik vs Taylor.

Pavlik hit Taylor with a jab, blinded him and he didn't see and probably didnt know the right hand was coming.

 

I don't ever see how Tony M would beat Floyd Mayweather. His defence and speed are just too bloody good. Margarito hasn't got the speed to keep up with him, sure he'd try and rough him up but that is not enough against Floyd.

I took a lot of convincing with Floyd Jnr but I eventually saw the light. I'm not his biggest fan - and I'd rather watch a Tony M fight any day of the week but Floyd Jnr is unbeatable.

At present there is not one fighter, for me, who beats him.

 

YOU ARE comapring Pavlik.. probably the hardest hitting Middle weight in the world..who could potentialy move up to light heavy because of his size..to FMJ at WW, hurting one of the biggest and hardest chins at WW...

Margarito will run over Floyd. He is too small.

 

I was merely pointing out the fact that Taylor didn't see the right hand. Floyds hands are brittle but that doesn't mean he can't hit Margo with a shot he can't see.

 

Okay so your point is made, But here is also another fact, Not every shot you get hit with that you dont see hurts you.

Look you can rant and rave all you want about why you think Floyd is going to win, But honestly when you look at both styles Margarito has an edge on his aggression and his work rate, those two alone are big problems for Floyd as was the case with Castillo and De La Hoya when Floyd fought them guys and Tony doesnt get hurt easily.

The question is what does Floyd have to keep Tony off of him? and Can Floyd fight against Tony in the middle of the ring all night? Floyd loves to use them ropes to make you miss so he can counter, Margarito loves to drive you to the ropes to get his shots off, the way Floyd drops his hands when he is on them ropes he is going to get caught. and he cant move the body as well as his head.

Bottom line is we will never know who wins between the two, but what I can say is Tonys recent outtings have proven that he will be the toughest opponent yet for Floyd.

 

And you think Matyweather will constantly hit Margarito enough hitw punches he won't see? WTF is Margarito supposedly BLIND as well as the slowest fighter ever now?

Cotto hit Margarito a lot with HARDER more solid punches then Mayweather can and it didn't slow him down...but Mayweathers phantom punches will do the trick. Your elementary arguments are ridiculous Eze.

 

And when you look at Cottos common opponents that he did have with Mayweather he knocked out all three of them while mayweather went the distance so I dont understand How Floyd is going to hurt Tony when Cotto couldnt.

 

Well Floyd OBVIOUSLY softened them up for Cotto.

It's ridiculous that these fanboys think a lighter hitter who's LESS active in the ring and in punch count would have a better chance against Margarito.

 

Exactly these mother ****ers just come up with the craziest **** to excuse Floyd for not taking fights he should have that would have secured his legacy, in fact Walk wit Me is over here talking about how great a fight between Mayweather and pacquiao would be, Get ****ing real that does nothing for Legacy if Floyd was about Legacy he would fight Margarito, if he had any self pride he would shut the boxing public up and fight him and beat him, but nah he would rather have HBO and hardcore fans talk about how he passed up 8 million dollars to fight him.
