Status at Welterweight he loses, as he had far fewer fights in the division than Margarito who is making a career in the division and only got the #1 spot a few months ago. H2H he doesn't lose, I could bet you if Mayweather returned now and signed a fight with Margarito he would be the favorite going in. Meaning the majority of the boxing world would pick him over Margarito.
Thank you NALLEGE. I'm not even a real big Floyd fan, but I probably seem like one because I'm always defending him. Well, I defend anyone that takes criticism unfairly, and Floyd gets quite a lot of it. But I'm totally sick of this 'all Floyd fans...' ****. Well I'm a Floyd fan to some degree, and even if I'm not a big of him specifically, I'm a fan of great boxing, and Floyd is an AMAZING boxer. If all Floyd fans are just 'nuthuggers' as many here would say, does that make me one? I'd like to think that I've never posted something here that wasn't well thought out, intelligent, and accurate (though I do give my OPINIONS often, which cannot be called accurate or not because they are MY OPINIONS).
And saying "Floyd loses head to head" to back up some argument, is a poor way to do it. Floyd MAY lose, but just because you think it might happen isn't really any way to back up another argument. If you're going to say things like that... you're obliged to offer analysis of how you think these head to head fights would play out. I would do the same if anyone asked, its only fair.
The prima donna moved up and down in weight classes primarily to avoid the WW's he knew would kick his ass eg..Margarito Cotto, Williams & even Clottey
That's bull****. Floyd moved up to 154 (for a fight that he only weighed 150, not even really gaining any weight - essentially just fighting a guy that weighed in closer to middleweight or supermiddleweight, as a WELTERWEIGHT) to fight OSCAR, for a big fat check. Margarito AND Cotto both said they would fight Oscar if they had the opportunity, RATHER than fighting Floyd. How is that different than what Floyd did? And Clottey? Nobody was even talking about Clottey anymore until he looked impressive beating Zab. Zab, who someone already said once in this thread is a joke, and I'm sure if I hadn't posted this, you would have agreed and said he was a complete joke and it makes Mayweather a joke because he couldn't knock him out. You twist the facts, and make up bull**** to suit your argument about the way YOU want Mayweather to be perceived. Why don't you try looking at the big picture, and examining the actions of every fighter you talk about - not just the one you're trying to talk **** about. You know, for all the complaining I see about "Floyd nuthuggers", I see the Floyd HATERS typing just as much, if not more BS.
Some fans are just mad because Floyd didn't fight certain guys. Blame Arum. The funny thing is that these same fans call Floyd a coward. Then they wonder why Floyd's fans lol respond the way they do. AM has not rematched Williams, and I would never call AM a coward. Some fans either truly believe Floyd is a coward, or just want a response to their post. I joke around, but I'm serious most of the time when talking boxing. I would never question a fighters heart. Not a fighter on Floyd's level.
hatton ko odh might outpoint him baldo ud, know one stops baldo judah goes to bed, or quits same thing margos last four cotto ud cintron ud golden j tko in about 7th or 8th paul williams hmm, i know pbf can do what carlos did and better, but pw in that fight was tripin.i cant call that fight.
I feel you on that one. Both Margarito and Floyd have way more heart than what most people on this forum could even comprehend. I've fought amateur fights, but **** I couldn't imagine the will and courage it takes just to even finish ANY 12 round fight. Fighting is HARD, and I got tired as hell after just four rounds, and they were only two minutes long. And this was even before breaking both my legs in several places, and even before having to deal with the pain from breaking both of my hands in various places.
Boxing isn't rocket science, so stop acting as if you always give us the Marie Curie answer to every post.

Please, AM could throw as many punches as he wants and he can come forward as much as he wants, but he won't hit Floyd, and if he does he won't hurt him with one shot. AM's punch output would be reduced tremendously if they fought. You forget, Floyd is used to fighting guys bigger than him. Floyd's jab to the stomach, his defense, his variety of punches, his footwork, and his left hook would befuddle AM from start to finish. AM wouldn't be fighting Cotto so you can kill that high volume crap you are talking. Floyd will be in front of AM blocking his shots and countering them, and moving. He doesn't need to move like he did at lower weights. He knows he will have to hurt AM probably to the body and AM can be hurt to the body as Clottey showed. If Clottey succeeded doing this and busted AM up, why couldn't Floyd do the same? As far as Williams, he is not fast enough to deal with Floyd and he would be susceptible to Floyd's left hook, and the full arsenal of Floyd's counter punches regardless of Williams size all night. Clottey doesn't have a chance because he lacks a right hand. He'd lose all 12 rounds and be worn down by round 8, and put into survival mode. I don't even want to talk about Cotto yet. We'll wait and see how he comes back.
