Margarito vs. Mosley

If thats the case then why were his punches so damn slow in the last rounds against Cotto?

Gotta be. Mosley aint gonna be knocked out, so Mosley by UD.

 

Margarito can be the first to put him away. Mosley shouldn't be fighting until he gets beat down into retirement. I would hate to see this happen to one of my favorites.

SSM should try fighting Cotto after the Mayorga fight. He probably has a even better shot now as Cotto's tolerance will forever be on a steady decline. He can beat Cotto he should just call it a day.

 

Even if Cotto would've offered him an immediate rematch, he would've convincingly beat Cott. I know he can beat Cotto right now. But I would like to see him rematch Cotto and retire. Cause if he beats Margo he aint gonna retire anytime soon, cause he's not gonna retire on a loss and he's not gonna retire until he feels fans really respect him as a great fighter.

 

Thats a good point about his heart but i still think he has very good stanima. From what i have heard his training is very intense and is geared alot towards increasing stanima.

 

And I'd hope so. He got tired kinda easy against Cotto, and I didnt like that. But I think Shane understands that he has the skills to beat everyone out there, he just has to put his mind to it and be smart.

 

Yeah, Mosley didnt use his skills the way he should have. I think Mosley has to be 100% on point mentally to beat Cotto or Margo

Margo can be outboxed by a good fighter period and Mosely is a great fighter
with speed and experience. He is older now but there is still a few good fights left in the tank. Cotto fought a good fight but tactically the wrong fight. Mosely can use Cottos blueprint with a few wrinkles and outpoint Margo.

1. Sit down on your punches. You are going to connect but connect with hard shots, invest in the body shots early to reap the divedends later in the fight .

2. Angles, side to side and clinch, stay in the center of the ring and stay off the ropes.

3. Do not run and let this guy chase you its how he gains momentum. When you attack attack fully make this guy cover. He cant fight going backwards and he cant punch if you are sending shots with meaning. Remember commit fully on offense there will be times your offense has be your defense against Margo.

4. This fight ill be won with Stamina and speed. Your legs have got to be able to go 20 rds.

Shane has the toughness he has fought bigger guys and will win a decision. Shane has always been one of the greatest fighters of the last 20 yrs he is about to get his due. I say once he beats Margo he should be celebrated as such.

 

I love Mosley, but I think Margarito takes this one at this point in his career. UD Margarito.

 

Margo would be outboxed but i think he would still win.

 

Cotto outboxed Mosley in their outting. At this point in their respective careers Cotto is sharper than Mosley, even if it isn't by much.

Mosley is not hard to find. Sure he takes a better punch than Cotto but he still gets hit. When Margarito turns up that numbers game and Mosley can't keep him back, the same result will unfold. Margarito will win by late stoppage.
