This would be an interesting fight to me, since both of these boxers
are very agressive. I see Hatton being able to hurt Margo with
body punches while I see margo being able to to KO Hatton with
a combination on the chin. Who would you pick to win ?

ricky is my favourite fighter, but this one clearly goes to margo,he's way too big&strong,it would be a good fight because hatton doesnt quit, but it'd take a superhuman performance for him to beat margo.

The issue here is mostly about size given that both guys have such similar head first, relentless styles.
Hatton is a solid 140lb'er clearly a little small at 147lb, whereas Margarito is one of the most solid in this division and could probably fight at 154 without problems.

It would be a good fight in the early going, Ricky making it very competitive edging some early rounds, down the stretch Margarito would be too strong though, winning clearly, possibly stopping Hatton late.

Ricky likes to comeforward, control the pace and unload powerful punches, Margo does a very simlar thing but is naturally much bigger, does 147 easy, while when Hattons steps above 140 he struggles.

Not a good fight for Hatton i see him being overpowered, hurt, cut and stopped before round 9.

Yeah, unless Ricky can find a way to outbox Margo he's getting stopped in this one

Rickys speed would be a problem for 2-3 rounds. After that and Maragrito adapts its all KO from there. Why do you guys wish to persecute your boy Ricky? He is not on that level at welter.

    I agree with Toopretty.

Hatton would do ok for a couple of rounds, but would get overwhelmed by Margo's superor size and strength.

He should keep himself at 140 and go out at the top there, fights with Malignaggi, Witter, Bradley, Torres even Steve Forbes are good matches. There is plenty of names ay 135 that would take the plunge at 140 given the right payday.

Hatton cant beat the top welters, their too big for his style to be effective, especially considering the talent which is there.

How would this be interesting? They have the same style only Margarito is much bigger, hits harder, can't be rocked with a brick, how could this NOT end in Hatton being KO'ed?

I like Hatton but I see him losing this one. Magarito would in my opinion be too big and stubborn for Hatton to cope. Plus he has a rock solid chin and fights at a relentless pace himself, albeit not as frenetic as the Hitman. I see Margarito winning the down the stretch.

Hatton's approach of a fight is all wrong for him against Margarito. Margarito wins inside 8 rounds.

Hatton should stick to being a light WW.

Of course, the money being in the WW division, the incentives are strong for him to move up in weight.

Margarito is way too big and strong for Hatton. If Hatton pressed him, which I doubt he would, Margarito would just get the better of him in inside exchanges. If Hatton elected to get on his toes and fight off the backfoot in a similar fashion to the Urango fight, Margarito would press him and make Hatton fight in a phonebooth.

Bad style matchup for Ricky. His strength is a big part to his success and he simply wouldn't have it as an advantage in this fight.
