Mosley was offered several million to fight Margarito but Mosley declined saying he wasn't ready. Now he is fighting Zab Judah. I guess he still feels he isn't ready for Margarito.
You barely know how to read the lines as it is, don't try to complicate matters by trying to read between them.
Mosley's career isnt finished, far from it. You see how highly Cotto is rated on this board, and I thought Mosley won their encounter by a round. Never the less, it was possibly the toughest fight to score last year and a great fight at that. Cotto is awsome. As far as im concearned Mosley and Cotto are still at the same level...for now. Give it a year and Mosley will decline and Cotto will improve - thats the difference. Pbf loses to both Cotto and Mosley, and handily at that. He's no where near as good at WW as people think - which he why he hasnt taken on any TOP welterweight contenders since Zab which was AGES ago.
I don't think so buddy. There's no one from 154 on down that could easily beat Floyd, so you can stop with that non sense right there. Mosley pretty much has no shot against Floyd. He's not that hard of a puncher anymore, he doesn't put his punches together well, and his defense is poorous. The guy eats right hands all night. The only thing getting him by at this point is his speed and his chin. Against Floyd he would be at a speed disadvantage. Mosley loses a clear decision to Floyd. Cotto could beat Floyd, but it would be a close fight.
To be fair Mosley was just coming off back to back losses to Winky Wright, and needed some time to get used to 147. I've read an interview where Margarito said Mosley was the only one at 147 who actually had some balls, and could tell him he wasn't ready for the challenge yet.
I think Margarito outworks him and wins a decision. Mosley's at his best trading at close or mid quarters, with the whole "power-boxing" thing. He's more of a speedy slugger than a boxer. But at this age, Mosley has to reserve more of his energy. That's why you see him clinch a lot more than he used to. Mosley would have his moments, but not enough of them. A few years ago I would go with Mosley, but not in 2008.
That would be a great battle.. Shane can still bring it. I'd take him in a possible FOY by a small edge.. You people really think Zab can take SSM? Please..
