I don't think anyone at Welter would have been able to KO Margo. The only way to stop him would be by severe cuts. Not even the great Trinidad would have been able to have the Ref stop (unless due to cuts). This would have been one hell of a fight. By the way, Trinindad didnt have great boxing skills. As far as boxing skills I think Cotto was better than Trinindad.

Tito late stoppage on accumulation, possibly a ref/corner stoppage. I can't see a 1-punch KO, but after a prolonged beating I don't think Marg will be able to last the distance. He is simply outclassed in ever facet, a fighter with his leaky defense would simply be eating uncountable amounts of punches against Tito. We saw against Clottey especially how open he is for left hooks, not a good thing against Tito. Also Trinidad's punches are faster and straighter, he'd be getting off first and causing far more damage. I think this would be similiar to Yory Boy Campas fight except it lasts untill the later rounds (although I dont't think the stoppage would be as brutal).

Not really, especially not against old time greats who have far, FAR, higher bias in their favor. The fact of the matter is that Tito had ludicrous power at WW and carried it up right on up to 160 as evidenced by the Joppy fight. Tito beat bangers and boxers alike and was only ever troubled by fighters that could throw him off his own game.

With a guy like Margarito he's going to have an EASY target to hit. And I don't give a crap how good his chin is, NO ONE is taking flush shots from Tito all night and seeing 12.
