Antonio Margarito vs Paul Williams II. Hell, it's the fight we all want to see. It ain't gonna happen very soon, so at least we can talk about it and make our predictions! So, who takes it in your opinion? Does the Punisher produce a similar performance and outwork Margo for the win? Or will the Tijuana Tornado take sweet revenge by starting fast and pressuring Williams from round 1? Vote and discuss! :good
No disrespect to Williams, but Margarito seemed overconfident in the first fight, as if he believed he could get Williams out of there whenever he decided to turn it on. He eventually did turn it on but wasn't able to get him outta there, despite landing some vicious shots, actually landing body shots that appeared to lift PW off the ground, and visibly hurting him. And although PW outworked AM, he never seemed to really hurt of phase him. I don't think Margarito will make the same mistake in underestimating PW twice and will get to work from rd 1. Margo TKO 9.
I'd say he seemed puzzled rather than overconfident... He sure wasn't expecting to get outworked the way he did in the first rounds of the fight.
Margo doesn't have his usual size, strength, stamina, and work rate advantages against PTP. PTP is the younger fighter who seemingly is getting better by the fight and has already beaten him once so there's no reason to think it probably won't happen again if there's a rematch.
i dont like williams but....he has margo's number margo's a smaller guy who's power is overrated...he's not a KO artist he's an accumulation puncher and with that said, williams is bigger guy, with alot of stamina, who just throws too many punches...and i dont really think margo has the necersassry tools to stop williams from throwing those punches, nor to stop himself from getting hit since he virtually has no defense...he's just going to be eating punches all night i just cant see Margo ever beating P.williams.... if he's smart he'll keep ducking him for the rest of his career
I'm not sure, Margarito is slowing down from what I can see. I'll have to watch him in action again before I can say.
A very close match imo. Wouldnt be surprised if either fighter won, but i would be rooting for Margarito.
